Yes it is true, we have a Myspace account now! We talked about it at the last meeting and thought it would be a good way to let more people know about the club. Erick and I are taking care of the account and keeping it up to date with club info and things and events to come.

Any input on what kind of content would be suited best for this would be great.
We were thinking of making it coincide with the SF Fan Force site and also again a vessel to help the club grow.

    Let us know.

Sounds great. I think we should keep in touch with updates so that the SFFF site and the My Space site have the same information. I'll add a link to the My Space page on our web site under Links and Message Boards. If you can notify me of the updates you make that would be great, as I'm not a my space member and probably won't check it regularly (I can't even access some of the content since I'm not a member. You can all talk about me behind my back - lol!)

If anyone wants to make a cooler my space banner for the fan force site feel free (just keep it the same size as our other ad banners) and I'll replace the blue thing. That was just the fastest thing for me to grab. I'd rather spend time on the photo albums.

I don't get why the SFFanForce my space title is "San Francisco" with this information:

    Male
    27 years old
    SAN FRANCISCO, California
    United States

Any way that can be edited? I understand it may have been part of creating the account, but there must be a way to make it reflect a group rather than the person who set up the page?

    - Kay dee

*edit* So why does Mr. Steiner have a profile up on My Space but not on the SFFF official web site!?!? Come on dude! We need a touch of the "Erick Steiner Experience" ;)

Yeah, I got the friend request the other day. Almost denied it thinking it was just another Porn-bot.

Maybe for the pics page, we could use images that show we are indeed "The Fun Side of the Force. I already have some of them on my myspace page:
    http://www.myspace.com/anasianskywalker

Like: Jedi at Hooters Comic-Con 04, Leah giving Chewy a Lap-dance at last year's Comic-Con MR Party, and/or Kathy and the Cast of Accepted doing a human pyramid, etc, etc..

Let me say that I'm glad that you two (Erick & Lou) took the initiative to get this going! This was discussed briefly about a year ago at least, and nothing really happened. It's good to see us continuing to go forward in terms of reaching out to the online community, and making our presence known! =D=

(I know I posted this on the youtube thread, but my sentiments are the same) :)

    Shouldn't it say something like:
Male 29 years or (bd May 25 1977)
    SF, Ca etc

I say do the club's b-day but were only three years old and people over 18 couldn't see our profile or talk to us. lol

The color scheme could use work... The background alright though.

Yes, but can I request that the photos don't make us look like the 'sexist male side of the force' (careful not to overdo it on the Hooters, lap dances and slave Leia pics)? I don't remember Leah giving Chewy a lap dance, I thought we had some more harmless yet fun photos of her simply sitting on his lap with a great expression from Han like 'what the heck?' ;)

    Good point, Kathy.

I think this is a good time to start getting business cards made. After seeing the new GGG cards at Virgin, I'm wondering if we should do the same color scheme, with both the website and myspace addresses on them.

Maybe for the background, instead of the Vader helmet we could have the Falcon cockpit or the Star Destroyer Bridge looking out onto the San Francisco Skyline(?)

In my opinion, background images for websites can often detract from the text and other images on the page. I think the Vader Helmet is OK since it's mostly black, but maybe it could be screened back a little so it isn't competing with everything else. Or if you go with something other than vader just, a trick can be to keep the image low on contrast by lowering the opacity and sometimes even applying a very slight blur to the image.

I love the new logo, the only suggestion I have for next year would be to make it "pop-out" more. It seemed a bit flat hanging on the wall.

The red needs to be clearer if you gonna use the clear backgroud with the black SFFF logo. I can barely make out anything on the comments and such.
