Hmmm, a full rewatch you say? Not sure I could manage an episode a day, but might be able to do 7 a week.

So, you guys keen for hooking into this Fox marketing BS 1-per day rewatch of X-Files? Like I said prior, I could do 7 eps per week, even if not one every day. But it would be good to keep up with the Fox rescreenings week to week (so all those in the USA without Netflix can just DVR it)

I've had the "Whole Story" 54 DVD Box Set since August 2013.



Then this happened.

Haven't watched it since. I have 53 unused DVDs that really need a spin*.

* And by "spin" I mean ripping to my media server.

So, I'm watching from the start... anybody gonna join me?

 

The whole series is on Netflix. If you are willing to wait until I'm back to the USA, I'll join you. If not, well, **** you.

 

How long is that?

 

My plan is to watch it all before the new episodes but I probably won't start until around the end of the month (it's also on Netflix here).

 

FOX Fail!

Proper order would be for 203 days: First 117 episodes, First film, Second 84 episodes, Second film.

*snorts* Man, I really hope someone got fired for this monumental screw up!

 

I'm sort of keeping up with organised Fox rewatch (Beyond the Sea up next for me). Anyway, have been inspired to make some LEGO X-Files related vignettes and scenes (Mulder's office is the first big one planned). Got a few parts in the mail today, so have a few trial minifigs - Mulder, Scully, Deep Throat (though he may end up becoming the basis for Cigarette Smoking Man), and Cecil the pyro dude from "Fire".

 

I'm going to do a full rewatch, for sure (including the movies), but I'll probably start it sometime in Autumn, and will do it on Netflix. I've got the movies on dvd.

WHY? Their relationship was a dragged-out will-they-won't-they they-did-but-mostly-offscreen ambiguously portrayed and somewhat contradictory snoozefest that never had any payoff whatsoever TRUE LOVE.

 

Yeah, I'm fine with this.

 

However, I would be shocked. Just SHOCKED if they got back together or something.

Rewatch: always wanted to do one of my big epic projects on this, you know, the real chronology, etc. including novels, comics, etc. And Millennium of course. And The Lone Gunmen. Somehow I never got around to it.

I'm scouring your podcast thread for Kumail's X-Files Files. Looks like he has new episodes finally.

 

I really need to get into that podcast. I love Nanjiani as a comedian, so I'm not sure why I haven't downloaded some of that show.
