I wouldn't mind going as Wolverine but the theater probably wouldn't let me in with them knives sticking out of my knuckles...not to mention that would hurt. Ouch! ;)

Sorry, LP. I didn't want to totally jump down your throat the first time you said it. I decided to give you the chance... But, alas, I had to come to your rescue.

I'm interested in going with the group for X-Men 2, as long as we are seeing it in Arizona. Incidentally, I don't know if anyone knows (or cares) but the novelization is out already. Although it's less of a novelization and more of a full blown novel, authored by none other than Chris Claremont himself. But I mean geez, 400+ pages of a book based on the script for a movie is above and beyond the call of duty, I would think.

400+??? OUCH! I'm with you there. And yes, my guess is it will be in AZ ;) . We'll know sooner to May 2nd where exactly.

Actually reading it will be cake, if I ever have time to get around to it. I've read other Chris Claremont novels and enjoyed them a great deal. There's a stigma about writing a novelization. Usually an author can get away with writing between 250-300 pages of a novelization. It's not a prestigious job for the author's part, sometimes their not even expected to do a really good job, just fill in space between a cover that will serve as good marketing for the movie. For an author to take the time to write a book based on a movie script, and for it to end up that long...well there may be more to the book than just a straightforward adaptation. 400+ pages says (to me) that he put some effort into it. Sorry if my post was ambiguous.
