Go and see it; it ****ing rocks. The opening sequence with Nightcrawler is spooge-worthy, and the introduction of new characters is done smoothly and believably. Pretty much all of the characters from X-Men 1 have been ramped up a notch (Rogue pretty much being the only exception, although I didn't really care because she's so goddamn hot), which makes for some bloody incredible fight scenes.

Also, a lot more emotional moments in this one along with major jaw-dropping action sequences.

My verdict? SMOKIN' HOT

Go and see it.

I'm tempted to edit those spoilers (or at least make it white on white) so then I won't keep scrolling through them and then starting to read them because I forgot they are spoilers.

I hate it when friends see something and then have to tell you all about it and forget that you are trying not to be spoilt until you go and see it. Steven had to tell one of them off the other night for trying to spoil him with the information.

best movie I've seen this year

 

Yes, this is a rare case where the sequel is actually WAY BETTER than the original.

At the end I was thinking - if Jean Gray suddenly shows up at the end and everyone's happy this movie will suck forever, but luckily they didn't do that.

The action was superb and there was also a lot of characterisation. Every character had their moment in this - especially Magneto.

 

I don't think it's rare for sequels to be better, there has been heaps!

 

So when does X3 hit theatres?

 

I must admit I was lukewarm on the first one, and a little skeptical about this one but can happily report that it KICKED ASS!! Best movie since the Two Towers methinks.

I'm actually a bit worried that the Matrix won't top it

*realism (eg military gunships, jets, White House stuff)

*Rogue
*and too much to mention

I can't wait for the 3rd.
