Its disgusting that my work life is dominating my social life atm. Thats just crap.
I WON FREE TICKETS TO X2!!!
Cool for you! How'd you manage that?
I won them from the comic book store that I go to about every week or two. I have a box over there so they hold comics for me when they come in; therefore I never miss a comic that I want. When I was over there last week I put my name in to win tickets. I believe that they are for Thursday night, so I will be one of the first people to see it. I will pick-up the tickets tomorrow and find out for sure.
You can take me off the list for Sunday. Since I won tickets and then will be seeing it again on Saturday with a friend of mine. I doubt I will go see it again on Sunday.
I'm interested, but would prefer Friday over any day. Saturday is the Kentucky Derby, so I'll have had a few mint juleps by the time the movie starts and Sunday I have a standing commitment.
What's the consensus so far?
And the winner is.....
Friday night. Sunday was in the lead, but with last minute lucky draws and business trips, Friday pulled ahead! (Mutt, Sharon, Liz, and Drew all wanted to go on Friday - maybe Heather as well?)
I'll go check times and places and post them shortly.
actually I didn't want to go Friday night. I work until 7. so count me out. I'm sure I can find someone else to go with.
you all have fun!!!
Ok, here's the info:
I have selected the 7:45 showing of X2 on Friday May 2 at the AMC Theatres Hoffman Center 22 (22! Yikes!) as the official showing of the Galactic Senate. It's off Eisenhower Avenue, in Alexandria, VA. The address is 206 Swamp Fox Road, Alexandria VA 22304. Tickets can be bought ahead of time via moviefone.com, which is probably a good idea.
We can meet up at the theater at 7 to get in line. (That was the Royal "We" apparently -
I hope I can come, but I've got some homes to look at after work this week, so I don't know yet.)
So, Me, Sharon, and Drew (his wife too?)? ?
Small gathering... Oh well, I'm sure we'll make the most of it.
The SW RPG game is still on Saturday Eugenia?
Well I hope you and Ken can make it Cinnea!
It should be a great movie. Have fun on Friday.
Ok AMC 7PM i will be there! can't wait!
Stupid tricksy moviefone.com, not posting all the showtimes.
X2 is in fact playing at Potomac Yards after all.
So Cinnea, are you going, precious?
*Once you've seen TTT wih K&E, its hard to get silly things like "Precious" out of your daily vocabulary, precious*
OK who all is comming. I know jeff, drew and his entourage has tickets, i have mine is any one else going to be there that we need to look out for?
Always use movietickets.com. Also, if you are a AMC moviewatcher, you don't have to pay any extra fees for buying your tickets on line. Of course, you have to be going to a AMC theatre.
Sadly, my preciouses, we can't go tonite. You must all enjoy it without us, and call each other precious in our honor. Ken doesn't know it yet, but he's taking me to see it Monday after work.
Movietickets.com. Got it. I'll use that from now on.
omg X-Men 2 was better than the first in my opinion. what a great movie!! I loved it! and even thoug he is too young for me that Pyro guy was hot. I would definitely see that movie again!
You have other "men" ---
I called Pyro a looooooong time ago, honey.
heh heh, ok Heather he is yours, but can I still look?
That was one seriously amazing piece of film!
And was I the only one thrilled w/ that interesting corridor run that Wolvie had?
I have seen X2 twice already and I want to see it again. This movie is better than the first one and I liked the first one a lot.
Also, I got a free X-Men comic book today during Free Comics Day. I got a lot of great comics today for free and some great ones I bought.
Strangebehaviour: I loved it! and even thoug he is too young for me that Pyro guy was hot.
Well, DUH!!! He manipulates fire, what would you expect him to be? Was the cheesy pun really necessary?
The movie was awesome...
yes very!!! I want to see it again!
Getting ready to myself Dad wants to see it and the boys are busy this weekend, so once again it is up to the eldest child to save the parent from certain gloom
