One week to go!
Everyone got their movie tickets yet ?
That's the beauty of working at a movie theater and being a manager - I get to preview it! (I'm not bragging I swear!) I'll make a quick post next week if I can and let you guys know exactly how good it is.
I recommend everyone at least get a summer job at a movie theater - it really saves some money
Don't taunt us....
Before the movie, I plan on stopping by Baskin-Robbins for a "Wolverine's Berry Rampage Sundae"
Wolverine would seriously smack somebody for having a blue berry sundae type thing named after him, lol.
I'M SO THERE!
Took the day off and plabn on seeing it a couple of times this weekend. Anyone planning on seeing it Friday 1st showing?
stone and i are going to the midnight show at the keystone on thursday night. but i know i'll be wanting to see it again on friday, so i'll go along with whenever/whereever you all plan.
Robert, Laura, Traci, me, and possibly others will be going to the UA MacArthur Friday night.
Also, re-reading "God Loves Man Kills" Graphic Novel, which inspired some of the storyline for X2...and it's time to break out the X-MEN 1.5 dvd again
I'll be there for that midnight show on Thursday.
"Hey, bub. I'm not through with you yet." --greatness.
better get tix now
See you guys Thursday night.
Anyone get into a screening yet ?
Need some confirmation for all the glowing advance reviews that are making me giddy as Kitty Pryde on her first day at Xavier's school!
Got my tix. Did you want to meet up around 1030? Or a little early to eat something?
i plan to be in line by 10p
wanna eat, better make it around 8pm @ bone daddys
I'll be there.
and to get you in the mood for X2.
No Nightcrawler stuff though. I would love to get the tail that Alan wears. Man, I would look cool with a tail!
LOL, we just got finished watching the first movie on the 1.5 dvd, now y'all are enjoying it on the big screen...POST YOUR OPINIONS ASAP!!!
Dallas local [link=http://boards.theforce.net/message.asp?topic=1101509&page=230]B'omarr[/link] got to see an advance screening and said it was "very very good"...this bodes well
Well, off to bed perchance to dream about androids dreaming of mutant sheep
I thought it rocked! It seemed that Bryan Singer took up the action a notch. Which is a good thing.
All things aside, I thought it was pretty sweet.
see my post on the other msg board...
What other message board?
Another hella-fine X-MOVIE!!!
And a HUGE set-up for X3
I'm from ear to ear!!!
X2 was flippin awesome. it seemed to move a bit fast though, but it was still great. yah there was a very nice set up and right as the credits screen appeared could have heard my shouts of 'damn!'
Cople of plot holes but LOVED IT!!!!
seen it twice and audiences cheered both times at the same scene. The one with Nightcrawler/Rogue and the Blackbird.
2 thumbs and 1 tail up for X2.
I used to think there was something wrong with plot holes until I had a professor who constantly got on me when I said something negative. His stance, and one I now take, is that plot holes are okay - great even, if the audience during the movie doesn't even think about them. You know you have a great film when you can pull off plot holes and a majority of the audience doesn't realize it. The films where the audience does realize massive plot holes are the one that don't do so well.
I've heard a couple of so called plot holes mentioned, and if you consider them plot holes they certainly aren't big, they could be easily explained, and they work - because most of the audience doesn't even catch them.
You know you're in the hands of a great storyteller when that happens.
Except for finding out that Cyclops was a closet N* Sync fan, I'd say the movie was perfect...
