X-Men 3 At Star City, 26th May

just a quick one: what time are we meeting?

 

No idea! What time are the shows and what kind of baby-sitting cover have you got for that night?

 

baby sitters are not really a problem (same as last time i reckon). angie finishes work about five so any time after that is cool. about 7 suit everyone?

i'll check out showtimes beforehand then, and post them up.

Sounds cool to me, too. I finish work at 3:30 on a Friday...Yeah, it's true. Us council workers really are a bunch of lazy scroats! Typical example...Today, I was told to book three weeks off by August, so I did! End of June to halfway through July - No work for me, and I get paid for it! Go me!

Can't wait to see this film...should be a good'un! And at least it's going to be in cool surroundings!

 

I haven't seen X-Men 2 . And saw the first one when it came out but didn't really pay attention. I know, I suck. And my parents go out friday nights so I can't get there and I have to be up early the next day as I have a long trip not to mention its exam time of the year.

So I doubt I will be able to make this.

 

I may be able to make this...... Where are we meeting, outside the Cinema at about 18.00?

I may get the train over and get Nige to pick me up on his way over to my house later. Depends what time he gets off friday.

ermm

a thought occured to me in bed last night ... 6pm on friday, is going to be busy. Mark and Dave shouldnt have travel problems, but I may and perhaps Phill. I'd have to leave about 4.30- 5.00 friday afternoon, and use the M1, M42 and the busiests sections of the M6 to get there. AT that time of day & week it could be horrendous.....

 

Ooh, yes. I jsut realised that myself...actually, I might have problems because I live three junctions up, and junction 9 heading southbound is a muppet of an area because that's where it joins the M5 - and junction 6 is almost as bad.

Wouldn't 7:45pm be a better screening to get to? The traffic would have died down by then, I'd imagine, or would it make things difficult for people to get back?

7.45 p.m. showing, so star city about 7.20 p.m. onwards.

So, how did it all go Friday night guys?

 

It went pretty well. The film was attended by myself, Tamika, Dave, Angie, Phill, and Alan (a mate of mine who is now a prospective member! )

Loved the film - thought it was fandabydosey!

Word of warning to those yet to see it...stick around until the end of the credits. There is an extra scene.

Loved the film, it was really good. And after the last scene after the credits, there is so room for more!
