I'm not here to spoil books for people. If you want to find out what happens go read the stories. :p

No no no. I don't want spoilers. I want to know if it is a good story. Worth getting.

That depends. Do you just want to find out what happens to Cable, regardless of the circumstances surrounding his story? Well then no, its probably not worth it. But that misses the greater implications of Hope's story and what it means to the direction of the Marvel Universe going forward. So would I encourage you to read the whole thing? Yeah definitely, though past a certain point it has little to nothing to do with Cable himself.

Yeah, no, I should clarify. Cable is a decent character and his part was pretty good, but I never would have read a story just about him. It was the larger story of Hope that attracted me and made me read the thing in the first place, and that's pretty much the requisite condition for me to pick it back up again.

Then yes you should pick up the rest of the story. Its not perfect and involved a lot more than just Hope (as most events do) but Avengers Vs X-Men is presently the climax of her story and the junction point of so many other stories from the last decade. For Cable's specific involvement pick up related (though not as good) books: Avengers Xsanction (an AvX precursor) & AvX Consequences (the fall-out of the whole story).

Its the first event that I bought every tie-in issue.

So you're going to need to PM me a whole reading list. Or better yet, PM it to David, and I'll try to draw up arrangements from there.

    Interesting, if not surprising, bit:
By contrast, new deals must be struck with the original trilogy stars, though insiders say negotiations haven't been overly complex. For one, Jackman and the others will appear mostly in scenes depicting an alternate dystopic future, so pay and time commitments are not substantial.

Many of us beg to differ, but I'd place it on the top five at the very least...maybe in the 4th or 5th spot.

There've only been about six superhero movies in the first place.

I think you need to check your math (or IMDB.com); there have been much more than six.

Wait, does that tweet mean it's going to follow on from the events of X-3? Because if it is, then I can think of at least two characters we won't see in this movie.

If were lucky this movie will undo X-3 from the timeline.

If it is, Bryan Singer needs to remember that ROGUE IS DEPOWERED even though Ratner "let her live"... [face_plain]

The timeline of X1-X2-X3 could always end up being the "bad" timeline that leads to the DOFP Sentinel future.

( But in true Star Trek 09 fashion that timeline would still exist... )
