Omar Sy has been cast and Halle Berry is now confirmed to be returning.

    So we're at...

Hugh Jackman - Logan / Wolverine
    James McAvoy - Charles Xavier
    Patrick Stewart - Charles Xavier
Michael Fassbender - Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto
Ian McKellan - Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto
Halle Berry - Ororo Munroe / Storm
Jennifer Lawrence - Raven / Mystique
Nicholas Hoult - Hank McCoy / Beast
Anna Paquin - Marie / Rogue
Shawn Ashmore - Bobby Drake / Iceman
Ellen Page - Kitty Pride / Shadowcat
    Omar Sy -
    Peter Dinklage -

So no word yet on Rebecca Romijn (older Mystique), Kelsey Grammar (older Beast), Olivia Williams (older Moira MacTaggart), Ben Foster (Angel), Daniel Cudmore (Colossus), or Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler). Though Cudmore and Cumming have expressed interest in returning.

Also no word yet on Lucas Till (Havok), Caleb Landry Jones (Banshee), January Jones (Emma Frost), Jason Flemyng (Azazel), Zoe Kravitz (Angel Salvadore), Alex Gonzalez (Riptide), or Rose Byrne (young Moira MacTaggart).

Also no word on Famke Janssen (Jean Grey) or James Marsden (Cyclops).

Has it been confirmed what time in the future the older X-Men are coming from?

If it is an alternate future then it is possible Cyclops & Jean will appear. But if it is the future post-X3 they won't be around (then again, would Xavier be around and still look like Patrick Stewart?).

Seems more likely an alternate reality is probable, easy way to kill-off characters without it being permanent in the movies (like Wolverine) and bring back people who died in X3.

I know many fans are hoping the dystopian future is the post-X3 continuity, but I don't see them going for anything that complex. I don't want them to, either. I'd rather they had complete freedom in depicting the future world.

Oh, by the way, rumor is Omar Sy is gong to be playing time-travelling mutant Bishop.

Agreed. The new Wolverine movie is post-X3 continuity and I haven't heard anything that suggests that there is going to be a connection between that and DOFP.

Yes - if "P.Xavier", the guy in the bed who ended up sounding like Stewart, turns out to have been a twin brother.

The dystopian future could easily be further along in post-X3 continuity than The Wolverine.

I am intrigued by the gaps in Singer's cast wall. Wondering who else be intends to include. Will they be new faces or familiar faces.

This has been a fascinating pre-production run and I am excited to see more.

Now that would be awesome, although difficult to do well on screen I think.

Some people are pointing out on various sites that there are presently 16 cast photos, the same number of wanted posters from Uncanny #141. While that is an interesting coincidence I get the feeling that this gaps represent unannounced cast members.

Do we know if Rebecca Romaine will reprise her role as Original trilogy Mystique?

Hearing about Blink made me think AOA as well, but I'm hoping they hold off on that for now- DOFP is a different type of story than AOA and AOA has such a wide scope you wouldn't want to be dealing with characters from the past in addition to the alternate versions of the present. Heck, you could do a whole subseries of AOA movies.

Maybe it will be hinted at the end, so as to lead into an AOA movie (or several).

Jason Flemyng (Azazel) confirmed to not be involved in the movie, btw. Makes me wonder if Blink is going to be his replacement in the 1970s Brotherhood.

So I guess we're not getting Az+Mystique= Nightcrawler, but given their interaction in X2, that's probably for the best.

With Flemyng not in, I'd take that as a sign that the 1960s brotherhood we saw at the end of First Class isn't going to be featured outside of Magneto and Mystique.

Guys I may want a reboot of X-men if this days of future past fails!

I thought First Class was an attempt to sort-of reboot.

Nah it should be in continuity but mostly just muddles the continuity. At this point that's a term used incredibly loosely with this franchise.

    That said, bring on DOFP!!!

Should this even be called a "First Class sequel" now? Seems a bit half and half if not more skewed towards the original trilogy at this point.

As much as I liked the original X-films (well, the first two anyway), am honestly disappointed that this film is pulling in the old cast again. First Class was great on its own, and I'd like to see more of THAT take on the x-men then one we've already seen before. I never liked the idea of Singer returning -- he did a solid job before but I'd rather look forward than back.
