Not surprising given what went on with The Wolverine. In fact, predictable. But I didn't foresee a 2015 release date. Maybe they're hoping for some double-dipping?

Singer has finalized his deal to direct Apocalypse.

    Cannot wait.

Does this mean they'll jettison him after Apocalypse, bring in someone new, and completely ruin another classic X story?

Singer wasn't jettisoned. He chose to leave and FOX chose not to wait. Fortunately, Singer could now sign on after the charges against him were dismissed.

They were not. The accuser withdrew the charges, or more accurately the lawyer did after the accuser refused to settle with Singer.

Just this week went in for DOFP re-watches two and three.

Some humorous moments I glazed over from the first viewing...particularly the scene where Wolverine is wavering between worlds after encountering Stryker and then coming partially back to 1973:

    Wolverine: Where am I?
    Charles: Huh?
Wolverine: How the hell did I get here?
Charles: Huh? You came to us.
    Wolverine: Who are you?
    Charles: Charles
    Wolverine: (grabs Charles)
    Charles: Charles Xavier!
    Wolverine: I don't know you.
    Charles: Huh?
    (Beast pops-up into view)
Wolverine: What the hell is that!?

I was unable to breath I was laughing so hard. Jackman's reaction is spot-on.

I think "Hank, get off the bloody chandelier!" is one of my favourite line readings McAvoy has in DoFP and, good golly, there is a lot of them.

McAvoy for MVP of DoFP. I think he's just genius in every moment. Any justice in this world, the man would be getting some award talk for his performance. It's really good.

Some really great lines throughout the film. Evan Peters' "WHIP. LAASH" always amuses me. As does Charles apologizing to Logan for not being good with violence right before punching Eric.

We see Magneeto acknowledge to Charles that they had wasted so many years battling each other in DoFP and shake hands. Even though we can assume that Erik went ahead with his plans that were enacted during X1 due to Rogue still having the white streak in her hair at the end of DoFP as someone pointed out in this thread, we also can imagine that possibly none of Erik's misdeeds in X3 came to pass. So this left me wondering how the time changing events may have affected the relationship between Charles and Erik and how it will evolve in the next film.

    Any thoughts from others?

Charles and Erik always end up at opposite ends of the ideological spectrum, sometimes Mags can be rather vicious about it but while they team up once in awhile, to fight off a bigger bad here with Apocalpyse, in the end, there will always be a conflict. That's kind of how they roll. But they respect each other enough to never do something as dire as kill each other.

Is this really happening right now? A Wolverine/Kate Beckinsale fan trailer?

Agreed. They may not always agree with each others' position, but they do understand each others' point of view and they are both pragmatic enough to put their differences aside, at least for a while, and work together when they need to.

Part of me really wanted to see the elder Magneto in that last scene in the mansion when Logan sees everyone alive and well. I think it would have been cool to see him in the room with Charles. But then again, it wouldn't be X-Men if there still wasn't some kind of conflict with him. I think that is what makes Magneto such an interesting character, because of that fine line he walks between good and evil.

Personally I would have liked to seen Bishop as a teacher in the last scene

So would Colossus be able to survive despite not having any limbs if he remained in steel form? I mean, it's not as if he'll bleed out or anything after the Sentinels ripped off his arms and legs, he's made of steel. He could chew the Sentinels ankles if he wanted too!
