I love my dusty old books!!!!
Dust!! Thats the thing I hate the most about them! LOL! I must admit my iPad was wonderful today, I'm still reading Mercy Kill, slow reader due to RL issues, but I sat in one doctors office and wrote fiction on it for 45 mins and then in the next office I read a chapter of Mercy Kill....versatile.
Hehe yeah that's the advantage of a tablet, though I'd probably use it to watch videos.
If this was solely a Mercy Kill Fan Club, I would agree, but its not.
Mercy Kill is the first X-wing book we have gotten in 13 years. I think it deserves the honor.
It's also (IMO) a nice 'what the heck is this all about' teaser - at least for the time being!
Sounds like fun! I almost bought Mercy Kill for kindle, but got the audiobook and the hardcover instead.
Wow, double post.
Are the X-Wing comics available online in any legal format?
I only own one, they only ever sold in the city and when I stopped working there I stopped going there.....
I am still reading Mercy Kill and last night I read chapter 24 and I cried!!!!! That's not right!!!
What's not right is that there are 2 incidents in chapter 24 that may have made you cry.
One in particular......why did that happen?! It was 12.30am and I was sitting in bed crying! So not a good way to go to sleep!
You are referring to the very end of the chapter, right? The good news is that you will laugh again...keep reading.
I'm referring to a main character.....and what occurred.
Alas, main character, we barely knew ye...
Shush shush. I'm reading here!
But peanut gallerying is the most fun! And it's what Face would do!
I gave up half way through chapter 27 last night at 1am...I really need to get to bed earlier to read!!
Progress is progress, keep reading
I read at night so as its 11.31am.....not right now.
I like to read anytime, but my best reading time is just before dinner on the exercise bike. No lie, I took a vacation day on August 8 to read Mercy Kill. Dropped my kid off at school and had a "me" day.
I like to read before I go to sleep, aids in my dreaming Only ever read SW Books these days.....
Be careful. I've dreamed of being in the middle of dogfights and touring star destroyers. I thought they were awesome dreams, but a little nerve racking. I pretty much only read SW, reading Revan at the moment. My husband says I can't possibly understand it since I have never played the game. However, I'm enjoying it.
I dream that nearly every night mate! I just read the 'cameo' appearance out to my son (who is home sick today) and he was duly impressed.....
Ugh...Revan...actually, not playing the game is a serious advantage.
Interesting reading habits. I don't know if I could live on just Star Wars - maybe for a month, but after that, I'd need to thrown in some nice Austen or Dickens, maybe a fantasy or hard scifi, plus whichever of my favorite authors has dropped a book that month...
I'm curious - since NYCC didn't lead to an Allston announcement (X-Wing or not) (which is not surprising, since Mercy Kill was just released, and any contracts are still probably being hammered out), what's the next likely time for such a news release, assuming we are that fortunate?
When my son convinces me to play action figures with him I try to tell him that the Gamorrean gaurd is an X-wing pilot, but he just insists the Gamorrean is a bad guy.
Finished Revan, not a bad book, but the ending sucked. I have Decieved checked out of the library to read next. We shall see if I can get into that.
Last non Star Wars book I read was Born To Run.
