Would love to see a pic of the complete outfit when finished - in Ben Skywalker terms, 'Astral'!
Yea, sewing is a form of art, I don't do art. My husband and his buddies have been asking me to join them in the 501st for years. But I just don't have the talent to put something together. Kudos to those of you who can though!
You can make costumes without sewing, 501st do armour....chicks dig it...apparently I taught myself to sew, its taken 16 years....
Edit: Got my patch on.....
Lol, you should see their eyes light up at the mention of transforming me into Aurra Sing. I think they'd be disappointed if I covered all up in armor. Honestly I would do TIE pilot, but my husband promised I could have another baby and that is my main priority right now.
Fair call, I finished doing that 13 years ago with my son. Hey, do Mara! You can do her for the 501st, I did years ago, retired member now as I simply do not look good in leather.....
I'd love to do a 501st level costume but I can't stand wigs and none of the female characters have hair as short as mine. But if you can, you should totally do it
My husband is looking up Soontir or 181st flight suits for me right now. I gotta be a pilot, apparently they call female TIE fighter pilots black widows.
Oh that's sweet! Definitely share some pics if you do that, need more lady imps
Now That I like Runner! Black Widow! OOhh....now you are scary! Definitely wanna see pictures...
Oh, hai, X-Wing Series Fan Club.
Hey McClain.....you mean to tell me you just found us? Or are you returning?
I'm stopping by on a visit. How are things going?
They got me here, its all good of course! Did you see back on the previous page, what I've been up too?
Isn't that a sign of trouble?
Nice pilots uniform, Addie!
Trouble!?!?!? ME?!?!? You wound me.........thankfully its not a mortal wound, just a scratch that my ego can cope with!
Thank you! I hope to wear it Sunday!
I'm sure that you'll be just fine.
Looks like it's well on it's way.
Yeah, flares for the leg, and back of flak vest then the gloves and I'm done....bar the helmet which I have entrusted my younger brother too....as he is a sparypainter.
It's looking good Addie! I'm impressed!
Sent from the future using psychic implants.
Ok, still got the leg flares, the hose from the chest box and yes the helmet (My brother is working on it) - Oh I have boots, just not in the picture....but here it is so far...
Thank you....I'm no seamstress, nor am I part of a group that aids with costume making....I just do it for the fun and love of it.
I remember (with horror!) my attempt to make a Darlek costume out of a large paper sack and a box of Meccano! Artistic, I am not!!
Could have fooled me! Looks amazing.
Thank you, the vest was the hardest.....hours of fiddly stuff with fish tank plastic tubing and swearing.......so its not that neat, but it works.
Way to go my Awesome Force-using Aussie Queen of the Cockpit
