I got them all at the same time and read them in order.
I have to read books in order. No skipping to my favorite one.
I always skip. Then again, I really didn't have a choice so...
If it was the Harry Potter series for example I must all 7 in starting with Sorcerer's Stone all the way through to Deathly Hallows.
Yeah, ones that strictly build their complete plot on the one/s before you have to do that with. Not so sure about the X-Wing series.
Yeah I suppose you could either do Rogue Squadron or Wraith Squadron and read the corresponding books in order
Or just read Starfighters
Starfighters? What's that?
Starfighters was brilliant, right to the last page
Yeah quite possibly the best one of them all. Fixes a horrible mistake, and makes all right with GFFA.
And the mention of Starfighters brings Adam out of lurk mode.... So gotta be a good book!
That it does.
So we have a few new people. And I'm not sure they know about the offsite. So here is a link! http://z10.invisionfree.com/xwingfanclub/index.php?act=idx Yummy yum yum.
Sorcerer's Stone for me.
JKR always regretted letting the Americans change her book...
I've called it Sorcerer's Stone since the 90's and I'm not changing that now.
The Harry Potter books have different names in different countries?
If I'm not mistaken, I think the whole first book was Americanised for the US market. After that JKR told them to stuff it.
Wow, how do you mean?
That's so dumb. So what if a few words are not typical in the American English? It's always better in it's original form.
I read the original version because Canada was close enough to Britain to keep things as is and at 7 years old I just needed a couple things clarified, otherwise it was all good. Tried to read the American version in recent years and gave up after 2 chapters, was too different.
Now I feel gyped. >.>
