I like the X-Wing; also the TIE Defender and the 'Clutch' (for the weapons mix on both).

The Y-wing is very useful. It has its place - a lot of them, actually.

I actually like the Jedi Starfighters. And the A-wings! I've never much paid attention to Imperial ships, I'll have to think on that.

The wedge shapes of the Aethersprites (the Jedi ships) and the A-wings are quite nice.

Yeah, the y-wing's got a place - at the back, cheering everyone on since by the time they get to the battle it's long over :p

Room in the market for a 'Dogfight' style combat sim with SW ships, IMO!

Like to see how a Bes'uliik shapes up against an Aleph (Twee).

    Probably this specific X-Wing:

    Note: Not mine.

For the Imp ships, the "MORE DAKKA" of the Skipray blastboat has always appealed to me.

That's why I like the B-Wing too, but maintaining that beast must be a nightmare. I am a fan of low maintenance. ;)

They all have their pros and cons, but the X-Wing is still one of the most reliable and versatile. :D

I think if there were ever a movie or TV show based on the modern-day Wraiths from Mercy Kill, then Eric Christian Olsen would make a great Trey Courser.

He may not be as muscular as Trey was described, but he has the same comedic attitude as Trey and in NCIS: LA his flirtatious relationship with his partner is very similar to Trey and Jesmin's relationship.

Mercy Kill. That's a brand new one isn't it? I think I saw it in the store today, but I'd never heard of it.

I'm going to have to find it. I don't know the characters you are talking about. But thanks. :D

It isn't the best book in the series but it is really cool; basically it happens after Wraith Squadron's been disbanded and Face decides that they need to make a comeback so he secretly contacts some old members and some younger people that he thinks fit the team well. It's a really cool novel and besides Face you get to see some old faces (no pun intended) including Piggy and Wedge. Trey kind of takes over from Wes and Hobbie as the jokester. There's a hilarious scene where he pretends to be a civilian calling in a family dispute and he talks like he has a broken nose...classic.

Sounds good. As much as love the characters we all know they really do need to try and introduce some new ones to keep series like the X-Wing series going.

Wedge and crew aren't getting any younger.

And that's a point Piggy makes throughout a lot of the book; he's "too old for this." I think; maybe it was a different book, but I think it was this one; he actually starts to say that and someone else, maybe Face, says "Don't go there." Rather amusing. Also, you get to see Kell and Tyria's daughter and Shalla's nephew, and some of the Wraiths from the NJO; Bhindi Drayson and Sharr Latt.
