I think I would actually switch James McAvoy and Tom Hardy. For some reason I see Tom Hardy as a really good Wedge.

 

I don't like any of those, myself. Just personal opinion. *shrugs* Never found anyone I've liked for the fab four.

 

Michelle Forbes would work perfectly for Isard. The others would be more difficult.

 

I love Obi-Wan/Siri! It's the only one I do like. Okay, maybe it wasn't explored in any depth - but it was in one of the young readers books, so I didn't expect too much. But there's so much potential there!

And I read somewhere a suggestion of Michael Fassbender for Tycho.

Hmmm. I have the problem that I just visualize Tycho as much older than he is.

 

Which one is preternaturally young? I thought it was Janson? This is mentioned somewhere in Starfighters of Adumar... I think.

 

Yeah, that's Janson. Say he's in his thirties in SoA but can pass for ten years younger.

I picture them as in the comics so none of those fit for me. And I hate Fassbender.

 

He does seem like the older brother of the group doesn't he?

I don't remember where it was, but I would think it would be Janson too.

Janson is baby-face, Tycho is cold aristocrat with feelings.

 

Tycho is a mere 9 months older than Wedge. (If I remember correctly.) Someone here should have the books memorized and I know it's mentioned probably in book one. I always imagined Tycho was quite handsome

 

Yup, nine months. And Wes and Hobbie's ages (relative to Wedge) are never mentioned, but I always had the impression that they had at least a couple of years on him. Not sure where that comes from, but there you go.

I also was under the impression that Iella was older than Wedge, but turns out she's three years younger. Go figure.

 

I thought Wes and Hobbie were a couple years younger, but I think that may be because he has just about always been their commanding officer. Truth is, age has nothing to do with that. Just made me feel that way.

 

It's funny what different impressions we all pick up from the same text, isn't it? I think I always see Wedge as 'young' because he started so young. Does that make sense?

So, what are some impressions you had of characters and places that were later proven different in canon?

 

Wedge has always felt much older than he is, largely because of how much he has seen and done. He's kind of like a more responsible Han Solo in a way.

 

Yeah. With everything he's been through, I'm not surprised.

 

zarkinfrood CrazyOldHermit So Siri's death date has been somewhat retconned by the Clone Wars stuff. Instead of 20 BBY, it's now listed as c. 22 BBY on the Wook (except her death is still listed on the 20 BBY page). I dislike this.

 

Is the 13 ABY section of Mercy Kill the only thing to "Home of the Dancing Gammorean," or is there more to it in the later sections?

 

I never knew if she died during the Clone Wars or Order 66. I know there were handfuls of Jedi here and there that survived Order 66, but I only know of a few by name myself.
