I can see her as a Chiss:
Hey folks, was going to finish up my update for us and get us moving today but sadly real life has intervened in the form of a nasty virus my son brought home from school and is now working it's way though my family one by one. I'm lucky number three and I spent most of last night parked in front of the porcelain goddess. As such I am rather wiped out now and in need of rest.
So what's that mean for all of you? It means I won't be posting until next week sometime (hoping by Wednesday but can make no promises) so those of you who haven't posted yet (you know who you are ) still have a chance to get something in.
I was going to say that I hope to be able to post over the weekend. I was supposed to do it earlier this week but I got a nasty case of cold and only today am feeling better, so hopefully will be able to whip up something.
*playing "ON HOLD" music on the omnibox*
Your pretendy fun times are important to us. Please hold for the next available game master. Your update will be with you shortly.
Rest up and I hope you and the family will be feeling better soon.
Music? Maybe I should be starting up the "Flight of the Valkyries" soon...
I've had the "into the trap" theme from the Battle of Endor stuck in my head for a week. Watch out for enemy ships in Sector 47...
Was it a 24 hour thing? I had something like that a few weeks ago... not pleasant, but thankfully short-lived.
I can't listen to the Death Star trench run from ANH when I'm driving... apparently, they have this thing called "speed limits."
You just have to make the mantra "Stay on Target!" be about the speed limit
Feel better soon Bardan. Hope you and yours have a speedy recovery!
With that I shall be gone for a couple days, but last I checked. . .which was now I am caught up on everything so yeah!
Thanks for the well wishes y'all. Feeling much better, and rather well rested, now this morning. Fortunately yes, just a 24 hour thing, and so I'll be working on getting the update in early next week (not enough quiet time around here to write on the weekends ).
Okay, here's a puzzle for you: you're an Imperial officer, on your way back from leave to the secret base you're assigned to. What kind of a ship are you in? (You're not a pilot, someone else is flying you and it's a longish trip...)
Yeah, I owe someone a fic, and I don't really write Imperials, so I don't know as much about what they've got.
Certainly not as a part of a random Imperial convoy aboard a ferryboat liner escorted by three TIE fighters, that I can tell you!
I'd pick something that's commonly seen departing the leave planet and passing through any waypoints going to the base. Low profile and numerous, with nothing to call attention to it. Starcabs seem to get rightfully ignored almost everywhere.
So an Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer accompanied by two Sovereigns should be inconspicuous enough
Yeah, might be overkill.
Do starcabs have hyperspace capability? Chyntuck suggested a generic Lamda class shuttle; I may go with that, although I wanted something a teeny bit larger...
Here's a flashback to the late 70's or early 80's, judging by the uniforms.
There are the Imperial transport shuttles such as we see in Rogue One. The Imperial Zeta-class shuttle as used at the secret Imperial facility on Edo.
The music gives the time period away!! LOL, but was cool to watch.
Teaser for Solo - Trailer for Jurassic World dropped today too..........
And did you notice the pilot promised the sergeant he wouldn't break the plane? LOL!
Solo teaser...hmm... on the fence. Was that Lando with a BEARD?
Love me the Eagle, and that looked like an early one too by the tail number. First time I saw one was at the Cleveland Air Show back when I was a kid (early to mid '80's) and it was amazing. Fell in love when it sat on it's tail and accelerated straight up before disappearing from view like some sort of spaceship. He leveled out over Lake Erie and went supersonic (or shab near) because minutes later he radioed the tower (which broadcast it for us in the audience to hear) that he was over New York state now. That was my favorite plane ever since. We still go to the Air Show almost every year, and even after seeing countless shows from the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels (A-4's which were great and after the "upgrade" to Hornets )that is still my favorite (probably colored by time) memory. Have to admit though, watching a Raptor do it's thing a few years ago... that was really spectacular too.
@Mitth_Fisto - Found your ship, and a few others as well!!
Oh just looking at that makes me think eventually the Squadron leadership is going to have to get their collective heads out of their shebs and reorganize according to craft type. I would really, really love to see all the B-Wings grouped together to see what they could do.
^ What he said. Who's running this outfit anyway?
Not to change the subject or anything, but this is kinda cool:
Solo would fit so well into this squadron, too bad he is busy elsewhere when the game is set. Oh and Leia would love us!
