What if Wes Janson was female ?
Thats the premise of this fic. I'm going to do a re-write of the X-Wing books (starting in Wraith Squadron were Wes appears first) and change things up to see what would happen if Wes were a female, but still acts like Wes. This will be a chapter by Chapter re-Write, although some chapters might get cut/new ones might get added in.

It will be some time til I start this since I have two work's in progress allready, but I just wanted to see what people think. If you really want this, dont threaten me to start it, instead go and up my other fics so I finish them faster (links in Bio)

Ok, I've sent the first part to the beta, but havent decided on weather or not to post it once it gets beta'd, since I allready have 2 works in progress.

And another crazy yet strangely interesting idea is born. Is it bad to have readers hooked before you even begin? Actually your other storie plus this snipet of info have me hooked. Will await the story while enjoying the Prank Side.

Although prankside is gona last longer + have a sequel proably.

Well I was hoping to post the first part before leaving for xmas, it seems that the beta is incommuacado for the duration as well.
If we get lucky, she'll get online long enough to beta the first chapter and send it back2 me.

No need, remember in the books Wes is described as eternily youthful in appearince.

 

Wes uses a lot of products on his face. Anyways you should make Myn female also, that'd make it even better.

Ok, this first part is unchanged enough from the book that I'm going to post it unbeta'd (sorry Jaya, beta it and I'll fix it when I get back).
You'll need a copy of wraith squadron to fully enjoy this, as I will quite often skip sections that are in the book to focus on Janson and her getting in trouble.


The text in bold and italics is from the book. The bold is a direct copy of the book and the italics have been alterd somehow, proably to take a female Wes into account. non bold-italics text is all mine (or my beta's, she writes some for my fics)
When an entire sentince is in bold or itilics it means something.
Bold is a direct quote from the novel, and Italics are just changed slightly to take the change into account, that'll stay the same throughout the rewrite.


CHAPTER 1

Twelve X-wing snubfighters streaked upwards through the atmosphere.
The World below, Coruscant, former throne world of the Empire,
was an unbroken landscaoe of urban construction, a vast city
reaching from pole to pole, blanketed by grey clouds shot through
with white and yellow flashes of lightning.
The squadron commander, piloting a X-wing with a red stripe along the
side scanned the surroundings and noticed his wingman, Wessiri "Wes" Janson,
was inverted.
"Wes youre inverted" Derek "Hobbie" Kilvan reported.
"Negative lead. Hobbs you inverted out of that last turn, look at the rest
of the Rouges."
Not taking the chance that she was joking, which as her best friend Hobbie knew
she was adapt at, he looked back at the rest of his squad and realized that he
was inverted. Correcting, he rolled starboard to correct and saw the planets
surface beneth him.
"Yub Yub Hobbs" Janson's seductive voice filterd over the comm.
"Wessiri, youre lucky I dont hit ladies ."
"Come on Hobbie, you're acting like Wedge.
"Heads up lead. Control signals that the Rouges are on approach now.
Theyre feeding us the intercept data now.
"Form up Rouges, lets escort these heros down to the party."
The squad formed up and vectored in on the approaching squadron.
"Rouge Squadron to approaching X-wing formation, please identify yourselves."
"Wrong designation's, sir. We're Rouge squadron. You're simply a rouge
squadron. But for the next few minutes we'll do you the courtesy of
designating ourselves Red squadron to avoid confusion. We're your escort."...................




Ok thats a rewrite of CH1 which in the book just had the Rouges returning and landing at the party to celebrate them beating Issard at Thyferra. Just read the rest of the chapter from the book to see how the chapter finsihes, since I decided to leave the begining reletivly unchanged other than writing it from the prespective of Hobbie's estraz Rouges. I'll try to get chapter 2 up as soon as possible, but I'm primarily posting this as a teaser, since I'm about to go away for xmas. Also, my other 2 fics take priority over this, and I will finish them before concentrating on this.

Also, incase you noticed the similarity of names of Illeia Wessiri and Wessiri 'Wes' Janson, I did it on purpose and it will be explained later.
