Y.J.N. , Grape & Wine Parade

The Young Jedi Niagara Grape & Wine Parade is Saterday September 29, 2007, in St. Catharines.

It would be good to see more people support the event this year. I did book the day off work and was able to take people. Unfortunately my boss had an acident at work and now the company relies on me to operate, So I can't get any time off now.

I'm planning on going, and I should have a new car by then.

I do have a car and the day booked off at work. Anyone interested in coming along? I can fit 3 more comfortably in the car, and 4 if the people in the back seat are good friends, and don't mind it being "cozy".

Because the streets usually start closing around 8 am, I'm leaving at 5 am.

I guess, since no one said they are coming with me, that I'll be going by myself again this year.

I wish I could go but with my boss off work for an injory I'm working double time on the weekends with no time off in site.

I asked, and there was definately interest in the London Santa Claus Parade for next year. Are we thinking of doing that still?

Yeah!

Don't forget it's a night time parade so those lightsabers will look great.

The parade was a lot of fun! There were a lot of 501st members there, so we "good guys" were a little outnumbered. Chewbacca from last year was a stormtrooper this year, so he was missed by the crowd. We also didn't have a Luke! Not many duplicates this year. 1 Leia, 1 Padme, 1 Han Solo, Ep 1 and 3 Anikans, 1 Obi Wan, 1 snow trooper, 1 Imperial guard, 1 Darth Vader, who left part way through because of heat stroke. There was also 2 rebel pilots, Dengar, 2 tuskan raiders and 2 jawas. There were only 3 or 4 non-movie Jedi this year. I have some pictures on the camera still, including a few group shots. I'll post them when I have time.
