Niagara, ON Y.J.N. Movie Night - Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Our next Young Jedi Niagara event will be another movie night.
Here are the details:

Movie: Harry Potter and the Philosopher?s stone (NEW EPISODE II TRAILER)
Place: Silver City Theater ? The Pen Center
Price: $6.25 + food and drink
Date: Tuesday November 20th
Time: Show starts at 7:30pm, we will meet out front at 7:00pm.

For those wishing to eat dinner in The Pen Center, we will meet inside, in the food court, at 6:00pm prior to the show that evening.


BRING YOUR LIGHTSABERS!!!
And a brown bag for Laurie to hide her head!!!

 

Never mind the brown paper bag....I don't want to look like the unknown comic!!
You know that saying, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em"? Well, since MY Darth Maul lightsaber will likely be used by someone else, I thought I'd come wearing the Amidala headpiece decked out with Christmas lights...just like on the new banner....what do you think???

A few why?

 

Hey guys and gals (and yet to be determined),

Maybe we should use our contacts at the Pen Cinemas to make sure that:

1. They even have a Star Wars trailer in front of Harry Potter, and
2. If reports from TheGrandePoobah are correct, only certain prints have the trailer. We should make sure the showing we are planning to see will also be the print with the trailer.

I'm not saying the only reason to go to the movie is only to see the trailer; but if we are going to bring lightsabres, there should be a reason why, or else people will wonder (even more) about us.

BAD NEWS!!!!!!!!!

The Episode II trailer is attached to only 25% of the Harry Potter movies in theaters.

So...that being said...you know what I'm going to say next.


THERE IS NO EPISODE II TRAILER PLAYING WITH HARRY POTTER AT THE PEN CENTER!!!

 

I can come at 6! So I'll be there 5:59ish. But I need a ride back Anbody live in Niagara Falls? DP cannot come

 

Well, the movie's over, and I wasn't there. But tell me everyone, how was it! Was it as good as the hype for it was? Or was it like the Phantom Menace, and you realized you were anticipating something that still could've had work done to it?

 

To be honest I thought it was "so...so".
I don't know why I can't give it a full thumbs up...something just didn't sit right with me.
But I never read the book either.

 

Well, if you HAVE read the book, it was really great!!! It was exactly as I had envisioned it! Some parts had to be left out for time's sake though. I wish it could have been longer!!! Two thumbs up!!

 

WOW! That was awesome. I totally loved it! I don't usually like movies that are made after books because they just don't compare to what you've imagined, but this movie was very well done. From interviews, I wasn't too sure of the actors they had chosen, but they were perfect. I can't wait for the next one. This one I would definitely like to see again, because of all the details in the background like the moving pictures. It will definitely be in my collection at home when it comes out!
