JCC yankee8255 0 - 1 tile floor

Well, it seems I had a little accident Monday night. I had been to the doctor in the morning for something else. Woke up after midnight with rather sharp pain, got up to get a pain killer from the bathroom. Pain suddenly replaced by the room spinning. I called to Mrs yankee but she was asleep, so i tried to crawl to the bedroom, only got a few feet before I blacked out momentarily. Full nose plant came on the raised edge of the tile floor. We're guessing the fainting was caused by the meds the doctor had given me in the morning.
Had a CT scan at the hospital (mainly thanks to Mrs yankee reading her colleagues the riot act over the phone), all clear. I go back Thursday to have the nose looked at and schedule the operation to get it fixed.
The bummer post script: we were supposed to fly to New York Thursday to spend Easter with my parents, which we'll have to cancel. Gotta love non-refundable flights.

OUCH. Glad to hear the CT was okay. Hope you get the meds adjusted so that this doesn't happen again and hopefully your nose feels better soon.

 

Thanks for the kind wishes, everyone. At the hospital now for the follow-up, let's see if I need surgery.

 

Hopefully that won't be necessary.

 

Surgery Monday. This should be fun.

To add insult to injury, I caught a cold Monday night, nose is running non-stop.

 

This thread is making me hyper-aware of my nose. Bleaugh.
