Most people look older with facial hair. For some reason you look younger. Unless you swelling face is disguising your wrinkles.
So I got to spend the better part of the day at the hospital being examined, first by the anesthesiologists, then back to ENT. Thank god for the Kindle app on my phone or I'd have tried to fix my nose myself by slamming it into the wall just to fight the boredom. Surgery's on for Monday, as long as my cold doesn't get worse. Check in Sunday, should back home Wednesday. And I get a 'nose' cast … this should be fun. I ended up shaving the goatee Tuesday to look a bit more clean cut. Too many people assumed I got hurt in a bar fight, incliding the radiologist Monday night
Let's not go too far. I'm seriously considering one of those 'I've fallen and I can't get up' bracelets, though
Holy ****, yankee... just saw this. that looks painful as hell. Also, I agree with Vin... the facial hair is a good look for you.
Thanks, harps. I was starting to wonder what I had done to incur your wrathful shun. ;-p Will probably grow the beard back as soon as I'm out of the hospital, it got surprisingly good reviews all around, including from mrs yankee.
+1 regarding the facial hair. Hope the surgery goes well. I'm not sure the floor cleaning itself with you is the better story.
Not sure if this is as self-evident as it should be, but if I had managed to crawl a foot further before passing out, my face would have landed on that carpet and i'd have come away with nothing but a few scratches.
Well, checked in at the hospital. Surgery set for noon tomorrow. Feels weird, I know my nose is banged up, but I feel more or less fine, certainly not 'sick' in any sense. I loaded Naked Gun on my iphone this afternoon, could definitely use a good laugh.
Well, surgery was first thing, apparently went smoothly. Now someone please run across the street to Müllnerbräu and get me a Fastenbier. And yes, Luke, I am your father.
