Thanks Christie. Uncomfortable, and made eating dinner (soup) an absolute pain in the ass. Pain's OK, just a light headache. Haven't to take any pain meds, I'm still half sedated from the surgery.

 

How long is the recovery? That looks like it hurts quite a bit.

 

At least your accident isn't all over the papers like Carol Vorderman's. (She's a UK TV personality.)

 

The bandages in the nose come out tomorrow or Wed. I'll be a far happier camper when they're gone. The cast outside in a week or so.

Still if I were you I'd tell that I gotten into a barfight instead of falling face first on a tile floor, less embarrassing.

Came home yesterday and they took the bandages out of my nostrils, which is definitely a good thing. Just have the cast on the outside left. And one hell of a sinus headache.

 

Has anyone signed that cast?

 

Well, the nose cast came off last week, and I went back to work yesterday. Still have a bit of a bump and cut on the schnoz, and any semblance of physical fitness is out the window after three weeks of laying around at home.I still have some slight headaches and dizzy spells every now and again, which has be a bit afraid of getting back on the treadmill the next week or two. More than anything, I feel old for the first time in my life, and it sucks.

My daughters wanted to draw something on it, and I was tempted to let them, but it was only held in place by two sided tape so we dropped that idea.

 

yankee8255: Got it about the cast... and you should cheer up. Sure, you've got those "ah crap, being old sucks" thoughts, but don't forget about the great life you have.

Well, I actually biked to work today my first physical activity of any kind for almost a month, and felt pretty good. Ideally, I'd use this as motivation to go running regularly and get myself in top shape. Far more likely that I'll hit the treadmill a few times and then go back to my vegging on the sofa ways.
