I think its funny that Rebelscum was so late on this one, it had been up for pre-order for quite a while.

I ordered the Evolution set from there almost a month ago.

I do think I'll wait for this one to hit stores (it was only listed at $14.99 at CIII).

They're sets of three figures that show the evolution the character has made through the saga. There's an Anakin set that has how he appears in AOTC, ROTS, and then as Darth Vader. Then there's a Clone Trooper set that has a clone from AOTC, ROTS and then a Stromtooper from the OT. The other set is a Sith set with Dart Maul, Count Dooku, and Darth Sidious. I think they all have new sculpts, and they look amazing from what I've seen. They should start showing up in stores in July.

The evolution sets are really the first "VOTC" PT figures we're getting.

Click here then go to page 23 to see the start of the evolution sets (you can also see the packaging on page 26).

You can also see them in the latest insider.

The 500th DV figure? A wise choice... I'm saving my money however for the Gentle Giant statue of DV.

The 500th Vader was up for pre-order back when I pre-ordered my Unleashed Asajj, Paps vs. Yoda, and Vader. And that was well over a month ago. [face_plain]

I'll take my chance in stores, as well. With those Unleashed I got free shipping and a free basic lightsaber, so it was a win-win situation. But for this Vader I'll have to pay shipping, so I'll pass.

This may be a dumb question for collectors, but what's the "500th" mean?

Well, with my luck finding the figures I want in the stores around here, I bit the $4. and some odd cents shipping and pre-ordered mine online.

No, where did you get that idea (not trying to be rude just curious)

It should be availble just about everywhere, Target, Wal-Mart (they were a good place to find 300th), K-mart, etc.

Just clicking on the Amazon page it shows they send it when they recieve it from TRU, so I just wanted to be sure.

The nice part of this is that I get up pretty early for work. With a few extra minutes I could stop by the Wal Mart just a couple miles down the road and beat the scalpers to the punch.

Amazon isn't really amazon when it comes to toys. Its actually ToysRus.com but they are lazy so Amazon does it. ;)
