YAY. Walked on WAL-MART at 8 A.M this morning....

And they had all 6 of 6 of the new Saga Collection! I ama ctually impressed with the detail on these figures. Bib Fortuna looks amazing.

Are they out yet, or did I get lucky?

And, are there traget release dates for the rest of the series?

i don't want to spoil your fun, but i've seen these at three different stores in the past two days. it looks like they're hitting everywhere now. i really like leia and han, but i can pass on the rest. it looks to me like barada is going to be a pegwarmer.

 

They've been showin up at TRU's in my city.

 

sure would have been great to find the Leia and Luke.. that is all I want though of this set.

 

Have had the carkoon wave for about a month but shall only be getting the other rotj wave and tatooine luke from the basic figures.

 

I spotted one of each of the Carkoon Wave just now during lunch and all I can say is

~wake me when the Hoth Wave starts arriving.

That's sad because I'm a serious collector and this is the first time I've ever passed on an entire set of new figures.

 

I suppose this is the end of the Episode III line now...

Sad. I still don't have an EP III Tarkin. I never saw him in a store.

 

Don't have a Tarkin or a 501st. Going to have to go eBaying...

No signs of anything new around me, don't have much interest in the first couple waves.

 

When I was in the Entertainer on Wednesday there were still a few Tarkins warming the pegs. On the down side we have yet to see the 'final 12' here in the UK other than online.

 

From rumours I have heard we will only be getting five of the last 12 but I do not believe it till I see it. I cannot see woolworths stocking the last 12 figures so I think I will be using online resources as getting them through toys r us will just be too much of a pain.

 

When I was in my Woolworths last week they only had a couple of basic figures on the shelf - Vaders, Anakins and the usual Palpy #35. They didn't have anything new, and I never saw the Tarkin wave there.

 

Alright I gave into my inner geek and blew 45 bucks on all 6 of the Carkoon collection at ToysRUs. I ensure they are in good condition, and a guarantee I don't have to look for them all now. Even if Barada is a pegwarmer, he's a damn good likeness.

As for the holographic figures in the back, I was wondering which ones would be more collectible than others, if any? Would it also help to match the holo figure with the main figure?

 

I do know there are different mixes for the holo and main figure. I got two of the Saga Fetts online. One contained a Holo Stormtrooper and the other had a Holo Vader.

 

Yea, I had multiples to look through, and I believe we grabbed the Yoda holo over the Rebel soldier holo from the same main figure or something like that, although I'm not sure on the collectability of that Rebel soldier.

The holos I possess are as follows as Main figure/holo figure:
Boba Fett/Boba Fett
Barada/Darth Maul
Leia as Boushh/Yoda
Chewbacca/Han Solo
Bib Fortuna/Darth Vader
Han Solo/Han Solo

 

I'd have liked to have gotten a double Fett. I think I will have to wait to see the figures in stores so I can pick through them. I'll settle for finding a holo Boba - doesn't matter who he is with!

 

Also another holo was Palpatine that showed up on a few of the others. I feel he might be more common, especially after the Episode III line.

Well, all the ROTS stuff is GONE from my Target, so I got

Han w/Carbonite block/Yoda Hologram - cool because Chewie knew Han and Yoda

Boba Fett/Vader Hologram - nice combo since Vader orders Fett in ESB

Barada/Boba Fett Hologram - both Bounty Hunters.

 

Is the Carkoon the only wave out, at the moment?

I'm not really impressed with these figures, I guess I finally just got tired of buying repaints OVER and OVER again from Hasbro. Bleh. The only figure from this WAVE I would even consider picking up is the Han Solo, but I think I would probably pass on that one too.
