Yay! We have a new banner!

And I really like it. I think it's one of the best banners in the entire JC.

The only thing that doesn't seem right is the dual from ANH being represted in the banner. Why is that in there?

 

I think it's to mirror the image of the Episode III duel between Episode I Anakin and Obi-Wan (though I'm not the artist, so I can't say for sure). I like the new banner very much, great job to whoever did it.

 

Seeing Obi-Wan and Anakin duel right between their first meeting from TPM brings a tear to my eye. Its also great to see Qui-Gon...Oh, all this makes me even more excited that ROTS comes out in 13 days...

Jedi_Master_Eric, it's on the far right hand side, to the right of the picture of Episode III Anakin (pre-Mustafar duel). I've noticed that parts of the banners on that side do not appear at some screen resolutions, so you may not be able to see it because of your screen setup.

 

I like it.

Just, It doesn't have Padme

 

To see the ANH image, you either have to have a REALLY seriously wide screen and high resolution or you have to specifically load the background image. As for the banner artist, well... I made this banner. I thought it would be fun to start off the new rotating banner thing as soon as possible so I went ahead and contributed my own idea. More artists' ideas will follow soon, hopefully.

Strilo you did a very nice job on this banner and I love the stylesheet. Whoever made it did a fantastic job.

 

i love the new banner,especially anakin with dead shmi on his arms and my favorite is sith eyed anakin,he looks so cool

 

Think I preferred the old one. Question - when is the ROTS forum gonna merge with this forum? That should be interesting!

 

^^^^ Nah, ROTS is still FRESH!!! So much more to discuss...I like both of the banners...the old one was getting a little worn out, but it was done beautifully. This one is just as great. The thing I like most about the old one was Anakin, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon in the middle together...that was great.

 

The old one had no ROTS images so it was dated. I would have loved to have the author update it with ROTS but he left the JC and is no longer working on banners. As for the ROTS forum merging in here, that is not really on topic for this thread. The only decision that was made was "sometime after ROTS on DVD." I am pushing for letting the DVD settle in for a few months and the holidays to pass. I would like to see it merge in like February.

I love the shaded Anakin and Padme holding hands.

Anakin looks kind of like the Hulk in the top left to me though.

 

I kind of don't like the bright red in his eyes ^^^. It just doesn't really blend.

 

From what I've heard/been told, the merge will take place several months after the ROTS DVD so Strilo's timetable seems pretty accurate.
