So, there was this old sea captain who had a peg leg, a hook instead of a right hand and a patch over one eye. His new cabin boy asked him how he got those injuries.

"Well," he said, "The peg leg I got in combat off the Hebrides Islands about ten years ago, when a cannonball hit me."

"And what about the hook?"

"I lost that in hand to hand combat off Jamaica."

"And the eye patch?"

"One day, I was standing on deck and I looked up and a seagull crapped in my eye."

"Crapped in your eye? I don't understand . . ."

"Arr, you see, it was me first day with me hook."

A brave captain was commanding his ship when suddenly the man in the crow's nest says, "A pirate ship coming!"

The captain yells to his cabin boy, "Bring me my red shirt." He puts his red shirt on and they fight the pirates off.

The cabin boy asks why this is. The captain says, "I wear my red shirt so that the men under my command will not see me bleed when I am wounded and will fight on for victory."

So, the next day, another pirate ship appears and again the captain calls for his red shirt. They fight the pirates off and the cabin boy is very impressed with the captain's strategy.

This happens again a couple of times and then one day the crow's nest man shouts, "Captain! Twelve pirate ships approaching."

The captain yells, "Bring me my brown pants!"
