Abq Yet another Costuming Workshop - Sun, Aug 10th

Keeping the momentum going for those working on costumes (i.e. getting ready for Vegas!!!) I'm offering up my house for another workshop (1pm - ??)

Same as before bring any projects, tools, etc. - we can work out details of drinks/munchies later...

PM me for directions for those who don't know it...

I will pm you for directions again, I lost them from last time I think I remember but don't want to take a chance...

If you want we can do pizza again, I can pick up some DiGornio's on the way over.

Lady Nab - I found the rivets and a D ring (to hook on to your belt) you can have...I'll borrow a riveter if you need it...I couldn't find any wiper blades though.

Sickness strikes back. I can't make this workshop. If someone lives in the UNM area and wants to swing by my place on Girard between Silver and Lead to pick up a piece or two to show off, that'd be fine by me as long as everyone cleaned their drool marks off the plastic. Let me know either way, sorry guys.

To anyone that can answer this question, I did mention that my wife and I were going to make a yoda costume for my youngest for Halloween. I haven't even begun looking at which style we'll end up using (prequel-era or post-ANH). However, I'll likely use the same cloth for either and my question is thus: cloth recommendation? I know lor has his jedi garb; what'd you use Lor for the tunic, pants, etc.? Anyone else? Also, might end up making my older boy a jedi as well and any suggestions would be cool. Might make him a youngling, as his age is appropriate. Hey lor, you might get to make that big helmet after all!

 

hum... you know I have to go find some material myself before the meeting. Maybe we can do a shopping day. I think lor used Monks Cloth-which can be found in Wal-Mart- but I am not totally sure.

So anyone else up for a material hunt?
