    That would be going too far and I doubt it, man I hope not... I'd wouldn't put an image like this unless it came straight from Lucasfilm or something more reliable/official.

    Once again, proof that the internet is a double-edged (laser) sword.

    Richard Marquand did direct Return of the Jedi. But the video was orignally on the internet without audio. Somebody went and added the Special Edition soundtrack, becuase in the video there is no background noise from the celebration. and it is also delayed in the end where the Iris out is.

    I just saw the clip and I have never seen ANH looking this sharp!! The picture quality is amazing. You can totally tell by the pictures.

    Jabba looks like he's had too much sun, which makes sense... I guess by ROTJ he doesn't go outside much.

    This STILL probably won't be the definitive edition, until say maybe the 30th Anniversary of ANH in 3 years. What the web-site has shown and what you've recorded on my cel Erick: the replacing of Ian McDiarmid in Empire, as well as the New Zealand-ing of Boba Fett's voice is quite impressive. :)
    I still hope they:
    explain Obi-Wan's diminished Jedi Skills in comparison to Count Dooku(who was older than Obi-wan when he fought Yoda. What? No one to fight on Tatooine for 20 years?); the back-wards shots when Luke and the gang first arrive on Yavin IV;
    The on and off of Han's jacket as he is lowered into the carbonite freezing pit; ridding of Luke's "wimpy" scream as he falls to defy Vader after getting his hand cut off in Empire; and in Jedi, fixing the lack of mouth manipulation of Luke when he signals to Leia "C'mon!" just as they are about to swing across before Jabba's Sail Bardge explodes.
    Hey, just getting a little nit-picky...and there is ALWAYS room for change. ;)

    The picture quality is AMAZING! Thankfully changes were made to things like the tractor beam graphics, the lightsaber enhancements in ANH, and the Rancor in ROTJ. Jabba is much improved in ANH, but it still kinda bugs me that he not only looks, but sounds different in each film. The saber effect in front of the Emperor in ROTJ still looks switched; I mean shouldn't the color be reversed, since Vader is taller and the angle would be different? I hope stuff like the flip-flopped shots are fixed too, and then there's the Greedo scene... [face_thinking]

    Although some of you already have the DVDs and know of or have already seen the changes, USA TODAY published it's review of the newer version (Hint - Hayden is mentioned):

    Another article talks about how Lucas inspired other filmmakers:

    *(I put it on this thread not to distract from the upcoming DVD event.)

    Another interesting article about Lucas's take on the changes in the trilogy - classic vs. special editions on DVD. Also more talk of the future of the SW Universe...
