Yippee Kai Yay! - Die Hard 4.0

Well, looks like the 4th adventure of John McLean is finally ready to kick off. Len Wiseman (the director of the two UNDERWORLD films) was recently selected to helm it. The only thing I've read about it is that it involves e-terrorists (hence the 4.0 title). Filming will start in September, so I'm guessing at a summer 2007 release (almost 20 years after the original). I'm staying spoiler free, so please make them HTR if you feel the need to post any.

 

Wasn't Britney Spears once cast as McLean's daughter? Or have the endless years of deal-making and breaking just numbed my mind?

 

The Underworld movies sucked.

 

That was the rumour years ago, but as far as I know it's not anymore. However, I read that John's son, John Jr. may play a big part in it.

 

I have you read the latest review for the new script. McClane's son does play a big part in it.

 

I started to read it until I realized there were spoilers, then I stopped.

 

I'm a huge fan of the franchise but a 4th film feels totally unnecessary. Then again, if given a choice I'd rather see this over Indy 4.

 

This would be perfect for the unneccesary sequel thread.....do we need another Die Hard? Or does Willis just need a paycheck?

Loved the first two, the third had its moments but still....

Maybe I'm just saying that because I own the trilogy box set and having to buy a fourth on DVD just defeats the whole purpose of a trilogy boxset.

Eh, I don't care how bad this could be, I'm looking forward to seeing it next summer.

 

Although Im not crazy about the title Ill definitely be seeing this (unless it looks absolutely awful, which I doubt)

Also, I wonder who the black actor/buddy will be in this one ?

 

The guy who directed the "Underworld" movies is helming this? Bad pick.
