it's for Canadians, yes. As for the topics, well, it should try to be SW related at least a bit...
Which action figures can we get in Canada. Places with best prices for toys.
    Conventions left and right, etc...
Politics are allowed, I guess, but no flaming...

Just thought I'd stop in and reveal myself to Canada...

Hello all. Seems like the perfect place for people all across our great nation to discuss stuff related to Star Wars and I hope some off-topic stuff as well, as its hard to get to know people based solely on one interest.

That's all for now, I have to get back to studying

Cool Nintendo page! Rogue Squadron on GC...looks pretty sweet!!

Darth Cleo, I can help you moderate the discussions around here, no problem.. by the way, do you know a guy names GJM Uiltemeiz? He's one of my friends at my college, when I mentionned that we now had a Canadian forum, he said: "It must be because of dartcleo..." Do you know him?

Let's have an election, Thrawn 60 or me... and please, I hope we won't have to recount the ballots for 3 weeks! :)

Actually, I've been around here since 1999, after TPM, I lost all my posts during the conversion to these new boards.. which explains my few 600 some posts... I am fluent in french also, which would allow me to moderate the Montreal - Québec section... I can now start learning the 5 millions other languages to equal C3PO!!!

AT 60: I'm beginning to think that we are the only canadians left alive in here tonight...

I love this Canadian forum idea! Who came up with it?? If it's a woman, I'll give her a big kiss, if it's a guy, I'll shake his hand and pay the beer!

    What's your favorite beer everyone?

Mine's a beer from a microbrewerie (spelling anyone?) in Quebec, Unibroue, created by francophone singer Robert Charlebois, the name of the beer is Don de Dieu

me? a yank? never!! 8th genreation pure laine quebecoise, which, according to some does not make me a Canadian... :)
The yank thing is just the default value...

Yes I know of GJM Uiltemeiz. We chatted online a few times, on sithclan, and the old fanforce..

Entil.. yes I am a woman, you may kiss my hand :)

Yeah, kinda nice having FanForce and the JC all in the same place. I tend to forget other boards after a while.

    Oh dear, it's started again.
For one, I doubt we need new admin. Darth Cleo was great on Fanforce and I'm sure she'll be great here.
Secondly, nobody who nominates themselves for a position of responsibility should ever be allowed near one.
There's my two cents, having been through this before on -three- boards.

    Cris~

thanks for the good words, Cris.
There's a specific process already in place to get moderators in here.

For example, the RSA for Canada position is open. I resigned way back last summer, and no replacement was found. I'm just too busy running TFN to be able to work for Canada :(

The RSA position does come with moderator status, but is far more than moderating the forums. It's about coordinating all the Fanforce groups, helping get new ones started, helping organising events, like charity drives and/or line-ups, handling press releases, etc...

[edit] wooohoo! I managed to get post #100 in this forum! [/edit]
