hurray!

ok got my wig today...need to find the head cap...have so much to do...dang work tomorrow...wonder if i can take a half day.

 

So much thanks to DH and SC!

Just got a little light assembly work in the morning then Firefly's done.

You two are just all kinds o' awesome!!!

 

Flash is all fixed...
Finishing Low-Light's jacket and knee pads tomorrow...
Heartwrencher's Wrench is merely awaiting delivery...

And the evilness is approaching conclusion.

 

no prob dude, you left the three bolts here. i should be here all day tomorrow so if you want to swing by gimmie a call.


got kims armor assembled for the most part, just need to attach the shoulder bells and then disassemble and paint the torso. the knee caps and shoulders are done!

my strapping is done just need to fasten the holster. helmet got a second coat and my grenade spoons got a nice coat of cobra blue.

all most there... stay on target...

Cover girl almost done...

I was thinking about adding a wrench to the mix to kind of reference the old Cover girl (new photos lack wrench) because she was a tank mechanic. Not entirely necessary though.

Pants, check. Boots, check (red stitching, but oh well). Blonde hair? (I'll be the old school redhead...) Jacket: today. Dog tags: probably today. I borrowed a walkie talkie from work, so I should look decently official.

We are so close to being done. I can't wait! I have buttons & snaps to put on dh's suit, maybe wash it & iron it. He's been dirty when trying it on, but maybe a good steam will get the dust off, who knows.

Trying on my costume tonight to make sure everything is going to work the way I have it pictured in my mind Maybe I will snap a few preview photos for ya

Ok printing out the graphic today which looks beautiful thanks to my friend Cory.

I think i have a wig cap from Halloween somewhere....

I THINK That is all....need to lay it out.

 

I feel like such a bum. I just picked up and revised my entire costume (sans boots, which I already owned, and wrench (I'm a tank mechanic), which is kudos to my Dad) at the Army/Navy Surplus store this afternoon. Borrowed an old walkie from work too. Less formfitting than the photo, but not too bad... still all black & white matching camo.


Are we trooping together at some point in all our gear, or is it just kind of a crapshoot on who is dressing up when?
If we're doing it together, I was thinking Saturday around 2... meeting and good group photo op.

 

i think the plan was to go joe on saturday evening. you can certainly wear it whenever you want though.

my costume is almost done. just needs belt loops on the PANTS

 

Technically...all my pieces are done.

Re-Seated all of Flash's suit pads and added the strap the catcher's gear.

Lovely shoulder pad on Low-Light's jacket and there are red covers for the knee pads. I'm going to have to get Ben to put them on to see if I need to tack the vinyl down some more, but I can quick stitch that easy enough.

so at this point i can confirm i have boots, belt, pouches and a helmet. at least i could wear it to Dcon.

 

Grimby & Nerf - You need to find the Twins to get your costumes when you get there tonight. I am dropping them off on my lunch and the boys have graciously offered to hold them for you until your arrival.

Sarnia I left your wrench on my dining room table and I will bring it to you first thing tomorrow. With the weather, I'm not going to run the roads anymore than necessary tonight.

 

I'm scheduled until 4 pm on Saturday so I was hoping the group thing would happen a little later, like 5-ish. I assume I'll track folk down in the atrium area...

yes, great job! i had a blast. every ones costumes were top notch as usual.

2nd place! not bad for deciding to enter the contest at 2 on saturday.
the trophy ended up with us. bean didnt want to let it go and it was in our room. where should it reside?

 

I think the trophy should stay with you...Kim was a driving force in getting us to do the contest, and we all know you will take great care of it. My vote is that it stays with you.
