It would be the lighsaber clash of the century, but if they had to fight, who would win? They both have the same swordsman style, but, you know, Darth Maul is younger and taller. Your thoughts?

JMT Edit - Please use this thread: Who Would Win... . Thanks!

Hm..thoughy. Well, I think Yoda would tire quicker, but Maul would make a mistake. But, by that time, Yoda would be tired, so I'd say maul.

Yoda. Hands down. Because..Obi Wan beat Darth Maul, Dooku beat Obi Wan, Yoda might have beaten Dooku if he didn't escape, therefore Yoda is the master

Yoda easily. Maul barely beat Qui-Gon while Obi-Wan was behind the force field.

Yoda won't have time to tire, because Maul will be down for the count before Yoda could say "Screwed, Maul is".

I seriously don't understand how you could choose Maul in this case, Maul is too young and inexperienced, Yoda is considered the most powerful Jedi of them all.

A simple darkside trick like Force choking would not work on Yoda. He'd counter it. He redirected Force lightning, after all.

I think Maul and Yoda could fight to a tie. Now that I think about it, Maul killed a Jedi strong enough to be on the council, and Yoda can take of someone who kicked the chosen one's butt.

In all honesty I think Yoda would kick some Maul rear. He's got speed, technique, and massive skills.
No disrespect to Maul, but Yoda is the better fighter.

Maul beat Qui-Gon and Obi-wan, but then Maul got carless and started toying around with Obi-wan when he was in the pit.

In all honesty, if this battle is a non-force all out sabre battle, Maul would stand a really good chance against Yoda. As was mentioned earlier, Yoda will tire easily because of his age.

A brash, reckless Obi Wan beat Maul. So how the hell can you think Maul would beat Yoda??

Maul let his guard down. Simple as that. It's the first rule of combat. Don't let your guard down.

My point exactly. Yoda would be far more skilled than a Padawan Kenobi, so Yoda would get Maul to drop his guard, or trump a mistake of his, much quicker than Kenobi could. It's part of being a swordsman.

Maul Beat Qui-Gon on Tatooine (Sp?) easily and the same on Naboo. Obi beat Maul
because maul was blinded by victory , a mistake everyone makes. Plus obi wan used the darkside to kill Maul

Anyways , Maul would win. Just start force choking a innocent civilian and yoda would crumble.

This is from the SW Databank, for those of you who still think that Obi-wan used the Dark Side to kill Maul.

"When the Jedi became separated, Maul killed Qui-Gon with a well-placed saber strike. Kenobi, enraged, attacked Maul. This barrage was deflected by Maul who used Obi-Wan's touching of the dark side as a conduit for a Force attack; using the Force, Maul pushed Obi-Wan into a deep mining pit. Kenobi held onto an outcropping for dear life. Calming himself by calling upon the light side of the Force, Kenobi was able to surprise Maul, and cleave him in half with his saber."

Oh! the Star Wars databank , the best place to get info on Star Wars (sarcasim).

Ya , but maul still beat Qui-gon and he was one of the best duelest in the Jedi Order.
