I agree. Maul beat Qui-Gon, yet Qui-Gon was easily a Jedi Master. Then Maul got cocky and toyed with Obi-Wan, letting his guard down. That's his only flaw.

it would be a very very close fight, they both handle there lightsabers with the same technique. But since youda has probabaly 800 more years of expeirince, I think he would take maul.

Yoda. Maul is obviously really that much of a duelist. Give it up, people.

    Gee, Yoda of course...

Now, Frank Oz or Ray Park? Park is a real martial artist and a stuntman to boot...

    Win Yoda would.

Yoda is older and is far more in tune with the Force than Darth Maul was. Yoda also has more experience in lightsaber duels than Maul, as Yoda is about 800 years older than the Sith apprentice. Furthermore, Maul was arrogant in his fight with Obi-Wan, assuming that Kenobi was finished before he really was. If arrogant you are, lose to Yoda you will, as Dooku did. Dooku thought he was more powerful than Yoda, and he tried to take Yoda on. However, Dooku realized real quick that he was no match for his former master, and he retreated in the face of his inevidable destruction.

Let's not forget we have seen very little of Maul's force powers. Maul was just an apprentice but Yoda is THE master.

Yoda. Who cares if Maul has a double-bladed sabre? Yoda would just jump on his back and stab him before Maul's even finished showing off with his scary eyes and hood-over-his-face routine...

IMO Yoda would win because it´s a fiction and he is the good guy, and SW is where the good guys ultimately win. :D

Yoda would easily win against Maul. He could just use the force to beat Maul.

Darth_Angelus, I think that's the best answer I've seen yet.

Yoda, he wouldnt tire out as you think he would, his gimmer stick that he carries is only to aide him in walking long distances and to support him better, palpatine carried a walking stick too and pretended to be a helpless old man however it has been stated that neither of them need it,yoda like any very old man walks with a stick to help him move long distances better, when he is forced to fight or attacked he can move as quickly and easily as a padawan like Anakin even faster though, the only reason he starts limping again after the fight with Dooku is because the fight is over and he has no need to jump around alot and move quickly, he is no longer fighting so he goes back to normal, but yoda could have outlasted Darth Maul easily in a long drawn out fight if he had to,yoda is after all a senior jedi master and maul is an apprentice it makes sense to assume that yoda has the ability to use his force powers to enhance his endurance and to be able to fight a long time without tiring, we dont even know what his species is capable of doing pyshically either compared to humans or other aliens.

Look anyone who says Maul needs to go home and rethink their life. And if they're so weak minded, we can get Obi-Wan to help convince them.

    Maul would probably defeat himself.

It may look pretty in movies, but a double bladed lightsabre is really more of a disadvantage than an advantage. He'd be more likley to cut himself in half before he could get Yoda.

ABSOLUTELY DEFINITELY UNARGUABLY Yoda, it is just the natural flow of the force. Yoda is second in power to none in the Jedi, not even Anakin (Anakin turns to the dark side and fulfills his prophecy as a SITH). Yoda is the baddest ass Jedi that there ever has been and ever will be. The only person who would have a chance of defeating him is sidious, and it is very doubtful we will see him be pulling out a lightsaber (mind you, thats what we all said about yoda).

This is no contest. Master Yoda could never lose from Darth Maul,
no matter how cool Maul looks to his die-hard fans :)
I will agree that the only person in the galaxy who can stand up
    against Yoda is Palpatine.
