Yoda Speed painting made on an iPad2 w/Sketchbook Pro

This is a speed painting i did of Yoda on my iPad2 using Sketchbook Pro with the 'timelapse' feature turned on.

Thanks! I've very happy with this one. It took about 4 hours to properly paint, a bit more with the video, which the only thing that actually took up any time was the opening logo and dagobah insert, and compression.

 

Only 4 hours? Wow that's fast I wish I knew how to paint...

 

LOL thanks! me too! honestly i'm not very good and I've done others that have taken longer. for some reason Yoda came out great.

 

Probably because the 'fourth' was with you.

Actually I used to frequent theforce.net boards all the time years ago but only came back just recently. I painted this for May the 4th be with you, and its not that I'm a huge fan of Yoda (i'm more a fan of Boba Fett, Chewie & R2) its just that I wanted to paint something that was significant to me about Star Wars, and what it actually meant to me. Yoda's speech to Luke when he fails to use the force to lift the xwing up out of the lake is maybe the most defining thing about SW and what it all actually MEANS. Tha'ts why i painted him on Dagobah, and that's why in the video I have his dialogue play as its painting.

 

Well now that is truly impressive. An exceptional talent.
