    Hello,

My movie is featuring a 3d animated yoda which will look very similar to the one in ATOC, as it is in the same program. I am in need of someone who has an amazing yoda voice and can record some lines for me so the mouth can be synced to them. I will give you proper credit in the credits. Please e-mail me some tests if you are interested to gjg554@msn.com

I've done Yoda for a few things. You can check out "That Prequel Movie" for some samples.

This comment just completely made my day.

Can you tell me where the "Yoda" button is in Softimage then? I must not be seeing it.

sithlord -- you have made very similar posts to this many times... can't you just work with the threads you've already made?

Dorkman -- I think you have to hold down Option and THEN click. ;)

EDIT: Here is a similar thread in which Nathan was kind enough to provide you with a sample.
Also I advise that you not make your Yoda look like the one in AOTC, otherwise fanboys will complain and say it looks fake. ;)

You've got it confused with the one in TPM, Adam.

(The only thing that'll make it better is if he comes back at me with "I'm not using Softimage, dummy, I'm using Blender.")

No no. The one in TPM, the fanboys complained, didn't look like Yoda.
In AOTC they complained he looked too CG-ish.

Boy, are they gonna hate "Run Leia Run", it's completely CGI!
(Sorry, I've been waiting months to start making that joke.)

Well you see, I'm not modeling it myself, I have Jay Hosfelt working on it. As for the previous posts, I wanted to find some more people cause only one responded and i wanted to compare

I thought Jay Hosfelt used LightWave? How do you plan on getting the LW model into SoftImage?

I agree, though, you're in for hell.. I mean, a treat in animating the little green guy.

I should warn you ahead of time that just because you're using the same program doesn't mean it's going to look the same.

ILM said they did SOME animation in SoftImage, but that doesn't rule out other software. CG can be very preference based sometimes, and you end up with several 3D applications being used. SoftImage is where the primary stuff was done, in fact, if you watch the AotC DVD, you can see that Yoda WAS modelled in SoftImage, but let me remind you, Maya got credit for Spider-Man, when lightwave, in fact, was responsible for much more. That's all I have to say.

    -Matt, keep it funky

All that he told me is that he would be doing it in the programs that they used for the movie. I don't know all of what he will be using

Lets get back to the topic of this thread, the guy wants to make his movie, and hes asking for help on Yoda's voice, can anyone help him?

I mean really ppl, do you have to argue the guy, just cuz he wants to make his film? Thats a retorical question, it doesnt mean argue with me about not argueing with him :p

Gardulo: the last time he logged into the board was January 1. He hasn't seen your post yet. I'd guess that has something to do with him not replying...
