I think 'ol Yoda is just really canny. I mean, in the OT he is NEVER forced to fight. Who's to say he still can't do all those flips and jumps? We don't know his species or any characteristics thereof. He could mock Luke's being 900 years old because he knows how humnans age, but for all we know, white fuzzy hairs could be something an adolescent "whatever Yoda is" would go through. Yoda just has this wry sense of humor. And this way of always making others underestimate him. He's got me guessing everytime.

 

I would guess that the limp is just old age, but as far as the fighting goes I would guess that it is similar to an adrenaline rush when he taps into the force that much. The age doesn't matter it's like mind over matter.

ex: My friend's dad once lifted an ambulance by himself becuz someone was trapped below it.
