    heres the one i made from a real flash handle thats darn close to the praco flash used for yodas saber:

    [image=http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c291/LAN-ED-TUL/c8e9f2f6.jpg]

    [image=http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c291/LAN-ED-TUL/d9152101.jpg]

    [image=http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c291/LAN-ED-TUL/P1010077.jpg]

    [image=http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c291/LAN-ED-TUL/P1010075.jpg]

    [image=http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c291/LAN-ED-TUL/P1010074.jpg]

    [image=http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c291/LAN-ED-TUL/P1010073.jpg]

    i inserted a solid green acrylic blade i got from romanempireproductions.com in it. its been of course cut down to size. i used a comparison to blade length for the regular hilts and sized the blade to match the yodas size hilt in length.

    I'm going to make a sabre for my Jocasta Nu costume using another mini-flash that I just won on eBay:

    [image=http://www.msgeek.com/graphics-a-gogo/finelux_mini_flash.jpeg]

    The reflector will have to be docked from it, alas (it's so pretty!) but the shape of the flash tube is very beautiful on its own. I'm going to go for an Art Nouveau approach, with tendrils of brass foil creating vine shapes all over it.

    There is no record of what Jocasta Nu's lightsabre looks like, except in the ROTS game, so I can get creative. Somehow I thought that she'd have a more petite sabre...something that could be slipped into her leather bag. There is no Covertech clip on her costume in any of the pics I saw of it.

    I didn't think I could retrofit a chuck for a stunt blade, but those pix of the Yoda-esque sabre makes me think that maybe it could be done.

    If anyone has a screenshot of Jocasta in that Order 66 cutscene from the ROTS game, please post it or link it. This is the only canonical info we have of what she wields.

    Did you make that from a steel pipe, Ryan? I'm wondering why you didn't take the rust off the end, unless you wanted it to look weathered, like it's been on Dagobah for a while.;)

    What did happen to Yoda's saber once he went into hiding? Anyone know?

    Nice find, Michelle, that should make a nice little saber. I'll look forward to seeing what you do with it.:)

    Watch the Sidious vs Yoda fight. Yoda jumps up to the platform that Sidious is on, Sidious shoots lightning at him, knocking his saber out of his grasp. That's the end of the saber, or so we are to think...

    Wait, did they even need to make Yoda's lightsaber? Wasn't he strictly 3D animation at any time he was using his lightsaber? I mean, I know there was something used to practice the choreography in the Dooku and Sidious fights, (it doesn't seem logical to me to use the lightsaber to choreograph the 3d sequences of the 3D rendered Yoda fighting the 3D rendered Troopers), but it seems kind of pointless to use a prop that looks like Yoda's lightsaber, when it's not for anything but practice. Also, I know there had to be some sort of reference for 3D creation of Yoda's lightsaber, but that's what blueprints are for :).

    i made mine modeled off the MR they made of it. its the old trilogy saber. and i dont think they ever showed it in the old trilogy at all, but MR made a saber for him anyways, going off what lucas told them. lucas had one made up along with all the other sabers made. and yodas saber was made from a praco or a bolesy number 2 flash.

    I have a messed up T-Shirt that says "It's not the Jedi way." and has a picture of Yoda's saber with a *blue* blade. What's up with that? I think the maker of the shirt thought they had Anakin's saber, the two resemble each other somewhat.

    The only scene where Yoda is CGI in Ep1 is where they have a wide shot of him walking in Theed Palace where he's telling Obi-Wan that he doesn't think Anakin should be trained as a Jedi.

    I just went back and watched all the scenes with Yoda in them, just to be sure I was right. Go and see for yourself, if you haven't aready done so.

    I also did not see any scenes in the movie with Yoda's lightsaber hanging from his belt.

    It was concealed under his cloak. You know what I just realized? We never saw Yoda once kill anybody (don't say anything about clones, I'm just talking about important people).

    only thing i dont get is, if you never seen it, in the old trilogy, then how do we know for sure the picture and the saber MR released was in fact the yoda saber?

    we dont, we just take it on lucas's word and MR that the saber MR made was in fact yodas saber.

    we dont even see it till the place where he whips up on dooku, and the other sidious fight.

    and the scene on the wookie world, where he cuts off the clone heads.

    so as far as the old trilogy goes, it was never shown, but accepted as his saber.

    thats all was gettin at, i made this one, designed after the one MR made, that was supposed to be his trilogy saber, that he didnt even have any more, since losing it in the sidious fight in the big fight he had.

    why they made the saber at that time knowing he didnt have it in the trilogy, i dont know, ask lucas, he'll tell ya. lol

    I don't ever remember any reference to Yoda's lightsaber till after the Prequel Trilogy came out. There's no reference to it in Ep5 and 6.

    That wasn't the point.

    It was probably implied, but you don't actually see his saber when he's a puppet. That was the point.

    The Yoda saber made from the Praco flash was made for the Visual Guide. It was NEVER made for ANY film, never on-screen, and technically isn't canon. The Ep2-3 saber he has was ONLY created digitally, and this design, while close to the Praco has some slight differences. The digital model used in eps 2-3 is what MR based thier replica off of.

    OK, while y'all talk about Yoda's sabre, let's go back to the other chibi-sabre project in discussion...voila...

    [image=http://www.msgeek.com/graphics-a-gogo/chibi-sabre/finelux_reflector_deployed.jpg]

    Note the little bakelite button. This deploys and retracts the reflector. Doesn't it look a lot like a Covertech wheel? Interesting coincidence, no?

    I am probably going to get rid of the reflector, however it's very neat.
