Spok, WA Yoda's World Tour

Hello Spokane! Rachel from San Diego/Inland Empire here.

After following Vader's World Tour a few years back, Master--Kenobi of the Santa Cruz Fanforce decided to do the same. She is sending her fried Interactive Yoda (who met his doom during a certain scene in Velvet Goldmine) on a US and World tour.

I'm helping her plan the trip, and we are trying to see which Fanforce would like to be apart of this tour.

I say we should participate. We missed being part of Vader's tour because we became a FanForce after the sign-ups had been collected and the tour had been set. It would be fun to be a part of this one

OK all, this is important. I just signed us up for the Yoda tour since everyone who voted wanted to do it. if you missed your chance to vote then sorry its too late. I will be posting details as soon as they come to me from the people that are starting this.

Now for the business:
Where do we want pictures taken of Yoda and group?
Can/do you have a costume ready to take a picture with? (not needed but prefered)
Are there any celebs in the area that would be willing or ust very cool to have a picture with? (Mr. Hagadon does not count even tho he owns Cd'A)
Any other suggestions?

So lets all look forward to seeing the Master in the future!

 

Photo suggestions:
In front of the Bing Crosby statue on Gonzaga's campus.
At John Stockton's dad's bar.
With the pavilion and clock tower in the background (like our logo).
Pic in front of some famous paintings in the cheney-cowles museum.
Japanese gardens.
Trolley.
Silverwood (get one of those on-the-ride photos)

uh, John Travolta visit's his sister Ellen every once in a while... and I heard that Dennis Franz has got a place around Cd'A...

 

if someone can contact our local celebs to see about the photo ops then that would be cool. I dont know if i want to fork out the money to go to silverwood, especially in my armor. well have to see tho. is spokane famous for anything?

Somehow i dont think that getting a group picture with spokanes mayor while in costume is politically correct. Sorry i think we should throw that out. even tho it would be good for a laugh

 

NEWS:

1) We are putting a cap on joining the tour. The last day to join is next Friday, July 8th. (If any of the other Fanforces in your area wish to join, let them know quick!)

2) Each fanforce will have 2 weeks with Yoda. The 2 weeks will start the day Yoda arrives. We ask that in those 2 weeks you take photos of him in "touristy, famous, or just plain cool" locations, and that he is shipped to the next Fanforce before the 2 weeks are up. We will be sending a logbook around with Yoda. The layout of the book has not been completely decided, yet once we know, you'll know.

3) And lastly, I am going to need a contact person. Someone in the group who will take full responsibility of Yoda and ensure that he is properly shipped off (and will also send the shipping number to either myself or Master--Kenobi, so we can keep track of him.)

IF I DO NOT HAVE A CONTACT PERSON BY THE TIME THE TOUR BEGINS, I AM SORRY TO SAY WE SHALL HAVE TO REMOVE YOU FROM THE TOUR.

What I need from the contact person:
Name, home adress, email, and phone number. No, I'm not going to sell it online. Only two people will have a list of contacts: myself and Master--Kenobi. We need your adresses for shipping, email address to say "Hey, he's on his way, hey he's stuck in a blizzard, etc..", and the phone number will be a "just in case."

Please have your appointed contact person PM me with this information.

I am willing to be the contact person altho i cannot recieve packages at my apt. I could technically but no garuntee that i will get it. I will be the main contact and will take care of everything else if we can have Yoda shipped to someone elses house

Okay. Best guestimate I can give you guys is that Yoda will be heading to Spokane around April. Sorry I can't give you a confirmed date. I need to try to work in how long it's going to take to ship him everywhere.
