York meet up 2006 ***details ****

Hallo member's A date has NOT being set in stone yet!
but we are going to having our big meet ups in york as its the centre of the north and easy for all members to get to.

We are looking at around late June early July 2006

Jedi's with outfits - please wear them at york (you wont be the only ones !)

I dropped out last time (though for a good reason), but I still really regretted not going.
So I am going to be there for the second York meet, and I'll probs travel up on a Friday night, stay all Saturday and travel home on the Sunday. I assume it'll be a Saturday (or at least weekend) meet? Sat is best for me for getting home reasons.

Unless an upcoming upheaval hits the fan then. Then bantha poodoo and worse!

 

I'm sure I can go again. I don't think I've got anything really important that time of year;.

Yeah provided its a weekend I'll be there; beginning of July would be better for me; weekends at the end of June might be taken up by birthday parties

my dad 23rd of june.
anytime around them would be grand.

 

I am waiting to hear back from spike2002 about the football listings so we can arrange a date around them for our main big meet up in york .

A date around the 24 would be good but ill have to speak with my boss ogil and see what he says then ill contact the member's and arrange at set list of days and times.

Its a meet up not AGM me thinks unless im ordered otherwise ?

And we may decide to have another one too - so it might not be annual anyway

lets not limit ourselves to the chains of bureaucratic terminology - we are here for fun - as much as we can possibly have and as frequent as possible!!!

 

I would love to come along. I'll wait till you set a date and hope I dont have an event that weekend.... of course if its a stay over it has to be haunted....

 

I doubt I'll be able to make it to any meets over the summer this year as I'm going to be heavily involved in diver training now that the club is sending me to complete the course in April.

Most of my weekends will involve me clambering into a crushed neoprene Dry suit and showing some numpty how to save my life should I run out of air. Any weekend I have free I will be required to spend time with the missus and lil one.


I'll see what I can do but I'll be truely honest and say the chances are beyond slim

 

Thats understandable. If you start putting your family after Meet ups, somethings wrong

I fully understnad your veiw but you must understand the set rules layed down by fan force on meetings - at the time of this york meet up ill have held this post for a year and i dont know if we are going to set rules for ourselfs or not - not a AGM is fine - But give me some slack mate its not easy being the Secartery !!!!!

- I hope so...we need to agree some clarification and ground rules to avoid confusion and a chaotic 'free for all'. This has been discussed before in other threads, awaiting feedback...
