Since this is the time of year to buy crap and give it to other people, I thought I would share some of the things I have found that would make good gifts. And possibly make small children cry. Sentinel figure - Waking up in the middle of the night and having a Darth Vader cut-out looming over me is bad enough. I can't imagine seeing this thing sitting on the nightstand as well. Octodog - Just don't tell them what it's really made of. Sexxy-Legs Turkey Decoy - No, this was not a Google search gone wrong. It is, however, still disturbing. And of course, I always highly recommend anything you can find at Archie McPhee, my favorites being the Punching Nun and the Pig Catapult. UPDATE: - OK, I can't get the turkey decoy link to work, you'll have to Copy/Paste.
Goat - Inredibly well-made. Gorgeous, even, if the pictures are any indication. Just not the first thing you want to wake up to at 2:17 AM and have back-lit by lightning. Actually, I was more interested in that Mifune APU (nice nod to Toshiro). Now my proposed Matrix/Terminator cross-over story has a MechWarrior element!
look on spawn.com and you'll see the A.P.U. search for simpsons action figures and you'll find Apu. the A.P.U. is killer i hear.
If you follow the link I posted for the Sentinel figure, the top is a list of pictures of the Sentinel, but below that you'll see links for Agent Smith, Morpheus, Neo, Neo-Realworld, Niobe, Trinity, and Mifune APU. The .MOV links are a cool 360-degree, rotatable view. Now that I look at them, the Trinity figure is pretty cool, too. The sentinel figure is 27 inches long!? With bendable, articulated tentacles? It may sound cliché, but "whoa!".
