Wg. today - is reading quotes like this:

"When you read the book," says Pattinson, looking appropriately pallid and interesting even without makeup, "it's like, 'Edward Cullen was so beautiful I creamed myself.' I mean, every line is like that. He's the most ridiculous person who's so amazing at everything. I think a lot of actors tried to play that aspect. I just couldn't do that. And the more I read the script, the more I hated this guy, so that's how I played him, as a manic-depressive who hates himself. Plus, he's a 108-year-old virgin so he's obviously got some issues there."

    and:

"When I read it ... I was convinced that Stephenie was convinced that she was Bella, and ... it was like it was a book that wasn't supposed to be published, like reading her ? her sort of sexual fantasy about some ? especially when she says that it was based on a dream, and it's like, "Oh, then I had a dream about this really sexy guy" and she just writes this book about it, and there's some things about Edward that are just so specific that ... I was just convinced that this woman is mad, she's completely mad, and she's in love with her own fictional creation. And I sometimes ... feel uncomfortable reading this thing, and I think a lot of people feel the same way, that it's kind of voyeuristic ... It creates this sick pleasure in a lot of ways."

    Robert Pattinson's thoughts on Twilight.

That kid's alright by me. [face_peace] Got a good head on his shoulders.

    Good luck to him :p

Wow! I didn't realise you guys were getting into the Steampunk thing too! I'm currently designing my outfit, though I'll have to wait til I have more funds to buy the bits and pieces!

    YKWG?

Air conditioning! Sweet Sweet Air con!

Yesterday our thermometer read 48 degrees, just as I was about to head out to Centrelink. I very nearly didn't make the 15 minute walk home from Centrelink. I got about 5 mins away, and damn near vomited/passed out. Not cool! I've never EVER felt such a HOT wind before! Wind is supposed to be cool not Boiling!

But I was very glad to get home to sweet sweet air con and cold water!

I have to go out again this afternoon for TAFE Orientation. Eeep!

They've forecast another 5-7 days of above 40 degree temps too! At least it's a dry heat ;)

Thank the gods for Air con at home!

Formats. After the grumbles you know you'll have at some point, you know it'll work out okay.

    YKWRRRRRG?

    TAFE!

Yes I finally got all the Centrelink/Enrolment stuff all worked out, and I just finished my first week.

It is AWESOME! I'm loving it so much! I've learnt a heck of a lot already, and there has only been 1 day so far where I was a bit bored because I'd already done what we were doing (fabric identification and laying out patterns - 6 months of work in a fabric store REALLY helped!).

I've already started pattern drafting and I'm LOVING it! I was a bit worried I wouldn't, but it's actually pretty fun! In 9 weeks (or less!) I should be able to draft any type of bodice I can dream up.

I got to use the Industrial machines, which aren't as scary as I thought, and we got to dress each other today in some beautiful costumes! It was so much fun! :D

So um yeah! It's fun and I love it and I'm going to learn so much over the next 3 years :D WOOOOOO!

WG: I only had 2 Neurofen today so far, as opposed to the copious amounts of the past 6 days. Although my grumpy mood is hard to fathom..less pain, less painkillers, unless I'm having painkiller withdrawal... hmm.

Also slept through the night without the need for an hour awake at 3am waiting for meds to kick in. You forget what that feels like so easily!

Went to the Preview screening of Watchmen last night and it was amazing! Absolutely loved it and can't wait to see it again. So many squee worthy moments!

Also had fun dressing up with everyone. Hate all the photos of me so far, but when I find a good one I shall post it. Pretty happy with my costume. Pretty happy with me in it. Except for the photos. URgh!

    But Watchmen rocks!

    What's good:

I get my son back today. Since his Dad and I split up a couple of years ago, we've had him 3-4 days each. We've just moved to a week each and this was my first whole week without him. It's pretty hard to adjust from being the parent to not having much contact with your child on a weekly rotating basis, so this week I attempted to work out how to do the week off.

I spent time with most of my frineds this week, tried not to drink too much, watched a couple movies, and basically slept in, stayed up, and honestly enjoyed that complete lack of responsibility.

I also missed his laugh, his smile, the way he hugs me before he goes to sleep, and his ongoing curiosity about a world I've since forgotten to consider.

I thank those this week that keept me busy and didn't let me think on it all too much. I didn't go crazy or drink too heavily or do anything too stupid.

And I apologise for the ramble, but Sundays, our changeover days, are always gonna be weird and make me think on stuff.

Anyway, what's good today, I get to hang out with my beautiful boy, although I do have to tell him his crab died and put up his bunk before he gets home, something I promised him I'd do this week and didn't get to due to a bit of selfishness.

Also good is that I managed to hang out with brand new people yeterday without completely freaking out. Which is good, for me :)

Yey LC. Must be awful being so far from him. Fingers crossed.

    What's good:

    Friday. :)

AG: Goobs and I are well into planning out trip to Kennedy space centre in May, for a shuttle launch hopefully. Hey, the shuttle launch may not go ahead, but gotta be optimistic. Staying in some tiny place in the middle of Cape Canaveral..but don't even care. Shuttle launch. Good! Also be heading to Disney world a couple days. And hopefully seeing Star Trek whilst in the US.

Anyone who wants to blow a couple thousand on the experience of a lifetime is very welcome to join us!

Okay, attempting to not get excited in case this doesn't work out...calm..calm...

Okay, I'm getting learning in the space geek world. Also depends on whether this one goes well as to whether we'll see a launch in May.
