My Mum stil gives me gold coin chocolates every Christmas. Really. I've still got some in the fridge from last Christmas..worst chocolate ever. Still when you're desperate, they'll do broken up over ice cream.

 

you make a point...somethimes they dont have very good chocolate....i guess when i was a kid seeing gold coins filled with chocolate was one of the most exciting things

i used to try to unwrap them without bending the foil wrap, so i could reserve the original shape of the coin

 

LOL. I still do it like that..fold down the little edge part so it's two halves of round flat foil.
