    HA

That was good, made me smile!!

    What's good:
getting support from friends near and far right when you need it. Also good, is that I made it through the day. Wasn't so hard or scary.

    RG:
catching up with friends you've missed

I concur. There were a few messy eps in season one, but apart from that it was great. I'm almost inspired to create a Best of Gene Hunt for YouTube, it would be hilarious. Fab music too. And the last 13 minutes of the finale is some of the best tv ever. Complex, ambiguous, and bittersweet. Perfect.

WG today - I got my copy of "Sam and Max: Surfin' the Highway." [face_dancing] I don't want to remove the plastic it's wrapped in for fear of damaging - it just looks so shiiiiny...

It is very shiny. And signed by Steve Purcell!

Did you read the dedication? Sets the tone of the book right there.

    WAG?

The obscene amount of cheap comics I brought back from Sydney.

I have the Absolute Sandman Volumes I - III (though there may be one more volume to release), the Starman Omnibus - Volume 1 (of 6, and my favourite comic of all time) the next two Question TPBs (including the debut of Renee Montoya as the Question), The Black Dossier (Alan Moore's latest bit of debauched madness set in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen universe) and the first bound Heroes volume.

They should keep me busy for a while.

    Be seeing you,

    Magnus Darcrider

    Heh yes, I saw that.

Mmmm, comics. Guess I'll just have to wait til Melbourne to get my small cache of cheap comics...

    YKWG?

    New show called The Middleman.

It's about Wendy Watson, a temp/artist who gets sucked into the world of The Middleman, a superhero who fights mad scientists and other threats trying to take over the world.

It won't last beyond it's first season, but it's quirky and geeky and worth checking out.

    Be seeing you,

    Magnus Darcrider

Moving into our freshly painted, no plants (yet) house on Tuesday and having someone else pack the entire house (grin)

It'll be good, even if it is further to drive into the city.

    Kithera

p.s: There is a YKWS to go with this too though.

    YKWG?

Moved! YAY! There's a little bit left at our old house (which considering who it's owned by it's not imperative that we get it all out immediately).

Most of our stuff is unpacked which is also fantastic! There is only now the kitchen, rumpus (or gaming room) and my study to go. I know that sounds like a lot but when you consider how many boxes we started with it really isn't...

The newly painted bedroom also looks awesome, it was one of the things that I really wanted done before we moved in (and it was....just) and it looks fantastic. It really does, and it's much, much, much better than the salmon pink it was before!

And yeah, happy and content really, although still wondering where some of my stuff has gone.

    Kithera

    YKWG?

The move's 80% done. Furniture is done, just odds and ends...and cleaning to be done.
Now the tough bit is naming this place. Dagobah dosen't apply, the back yard's a yard again. ;)

CJ's got a pad with an awesome view a lot closer to town (Riverfire, CJ?? [face_praying] ).

I declare this Narmig stuff a wonder drug.
Thought I was fine this morning but started getting one of those headaches coming on quickly soon after I got up. Pop a very expensive pill and the headache has spent the day lurking at the back of my skull - haven't even needed pain killers :D

Great to know it worked out. One day in the not-too-distant future, I'll probably be thanking you very sincerely for raising the topic.

    YKWG?

    The Electric Light Orchestra.

Why can't all bands have their own spaceship, or a badass cellist who swings his instrument over his head as if it were a lightweight guitar?

Wg. Went to see a band called "Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen" last night. Never heard any of their stuff before, and was pleasantly surprised just how much fun they were.

Finding the Galactic heroes version of the Jabba playset, for $25 in Target. Almost talked myself into the Milennium Falcon one for 50. I've realised that I've never really collected Star Wars stuff before but I seem to have acquired all the CUTE things over the last couple of years. :) nice
