I've been thinking about what IS good in my life at the moment, and I honestly can't think of a thing. I need a crowbar so I can break out of this rut I find myself in at present.

Living in a reasonably safe, well off country with the opportunity to go to the beach on a Sunday if we want, or to see a movie any day of the week, or to eat chocolate whenever we feel the need!

What's good:
Walking/driving/bussing home while listening to music, and getting there just as a really happy, triumphant song finishes. I actually got off the bus early the other day so I could hear the rest of The Go! Team's "Thunder Lightning Strike!" (It's an insanely cheerful album that combines British schoolyard anthems, 70s/80s cop show themes and the few parts of the hip-hop genre that aren't crap. A strange mix, but it really works. Download "Junior Kickstart" to get some idea. But, as usual, I digress.)

Music makes Brisbane's transport system much more tolerable, and for me, preferable to driving. (It's almost enough to forgive that questionable "BUZ" campaign. Honestly, why try to make the bus service "hip" and "edgy" with a trendy misspelling? Those who need to catch the bus, will. Those who don't, won't. Wow, that zesty "z" is so radically cool! Forget the pub - let's catch the BUZ! And again, I digress.)

Anyway. Portable music is good. Oh yes. Um.
