I'm guilty of this with one of my supporting characters, except I have to look her last name up in a three-year-old post. It's probably past time that I made a note of it in my notes file. :p

As is mine. I think at least a few of my characters have names that I pronounce two different ways and keep those pronunciations as the official headcanon. May as well cover my bases.

YKYAFFWW... you spend 15 minutes typing out four related observations for this thread, only to realize that they contain major spoilers for your story that can't be avoided, so you instead cut and paste them into a text file to save them for when the spoilers have been properly revealed.

I was dreaming of fan fic again last night. Han,Leia, Luke and my OC, Princess Clarys, became part of an Ocean's Eleven type caper, (complete with slicer and breaking-and-entering specialists named Zapp and Jigsaw.....do they even have jigsaws in the GFFA?) when suddenly it turned into a musical. I woke up as I was furiously writing down lyrics in my dream.

.....YKYAFFWW you wonder if there's anything in these dreams you can use (in this case, the answer is no :) )

...when I'm multitasking data entry and dialogue snippets on Notepad (that'll be printed out at the end of the day and stuffed in my work bag in an ever-increasing pile). Stang it, bunnies, can't you wait?!! [face_laugh]

... when you construct a Star Wars vehicle a propos to your current fanfic ... out of Legos. It is not aerodynamic enough to set down onplanet, however. [face_party]

When you go to write a simple scene and it gets exponentially more complicated.

Don't say that. I'm on "writing an exponentially complicated chapter that becomes a book." :D or :(, I'm not sure ;)

When you accidently use the word "Kriffing" in real life.

Actually, I was writing a chapter of my current fanfic once when my cat tried to jump on my computer. I said "Get down, Barriss!"

(For the record, no, my cat's name is not Barriss.)

YKYAFFWW you take a break from brainstorming interesting things to say in your conference paper (or other similar deadlined RL project) by brainstorming interesting things to write about in your fanfic stories.

Or when you start talking like your characters without realizing it, like using certain phrases or inflections or things like that. Not that I've ever done that... [face_batting]

Also, YKYAFFW when you are reading a novel for school, and one of the characters has the same name as a character in one of your fandoms, and so you keep getting plot bunnies and can't take the book seriously at all.

    YKYAFFWW...

...someone following your RPs with another person makes a crack!ship of your characters and you decide to run with it.

This is the first time this has happened to me. I'm loving every minute of the insanity.

When you are watching something and decide that such and such character would be fun to use in a crossover. Admit it that Hondo the pirate would be be a great character for some crew from Star Trek to meet. Preferably Enterprise D or Voyager.

...you are looking into stuff about pregnancy and c-section because one of your characters is pregnant and you want to make it realistic.

Poor Lavinnia the Hypno. Half of the Lavendy crack!ship. She is now pregnant. I have seriously never expected her character to go in that direction. Thank you, That Certain Shipper.

YKYAFFWW you dig up an old e-mail conversation between yourself and a former employer as a model for a conversation between two characters. (It was a very nice e-mail, and there are days when I wish I still worked for this employer.)
