You know you're a Star Wars freak/dork when...

Well we did the "you know you're old when" but here is something (I don't know if it's been done yet) that everyone not just the fossils can get in on (youngsters got in on the old thread but hey) any way I'll start

you know you're a SW freak when...
you ask somone to do something and they say "I'll try" and you say "No,Do or Do Not there is no try"

When you're standing around in a parking lot, trying to decide what to do next...and someone says, "We have no time to discuss this in a committee." And someone else says, "I am not a committee."

Hell, when you're standing around in a parking lot is bad enough...when you're with your SW mates quoting SW...thats when it becomes scary.


I feel there arent enought m's, t's or e's in my spelling of the word...committee? comitee? comitteeeee?....hhhm

When members of your team at work catch you trying to Force-choke them per the patented Darth Vader style...

 

When you are walking towards an automatic door and you wave your hand like you are using the force to open it.

 

Been there, force-pushed that....guilty as charged....FLOL!

 

When your 2-yr-old knows the difference between an Ewok and a Wookiee...

 

that just makes her a really cool kid.

 

When you own 9 VHS tapes and ALL of them are SW.

I wish I could say the same thing about DVDs, I own a LOT of those

 

WHEN YOU IT EVERY TIME ITS ON T.V AND YOU REPEAT ALL THE LINES.

 

When you go for a hike with your nephew who also loves Star Wars ( and a friend who actually doesn't like Star Wars) and your dog who is a rare breed,and your nephew sticks a Darth Maul action figure in the strap of your back pack. You promptly forget he is there. Then when you meet other people on the trail who are interested in your dog. they start asking you about the dog but give you strange looks. You finally realize why they are looking at you so strangely--it is because of the Darth Maul sitting on your shoulder.

 

When old friends asks you to clear dates for their wedding a year in advance, and you have to give them the disclaimer:

"Sure, as long as it doesn't conflict with CIII"

 

that's a friggin good one Stacy...


Or when your best friend tells you that his wedding is in September (which you will be the best man at) and the first thing you say is "what the **** man?! That's when I'm shooting the film you're supposed to be in!!!"

and i totally agree.

 

I actully had my friend change his wedding day so it would not conflict with C3. I told him he was more than welcome to fallow us and get hitched star wars style or put it off a week.I guess the best man can pull some weight.

 

When you start a count down to CIII over a year in advance....

 

When they throw a "Generational Day" at work where everyone is to dress up as a past generation and you come as the generation of "Long, long ago..."

I'm getting some strange looks today. Then again, I'm getting some approving looks too.

 

When you try to get people to repeat what you are saying. (New Hope, and Return of the Jedi. I believe those are the ones they are in. As well as the new ones).

 

You use Jedi calmig techniques to prevent you from choking your boss.
