Amph "You think you're the only superhero in the world?" - The Marvel Cinematic Universe

True enough. It was the good word of mouth that got me to buy my ticket last Tuesday and see it. So tempted to try and go one more time.

 

Seen the movie 4 times in theater... I just finished watching the Avengers.

 

I rarely see a movie more than once at the theater any more. The window between the theatrical and home video releases has shortened to the point that I typically just wait it out. But the only two movies I've seen this year that had me re-thinking that philosophy were both Marvel; CA:TWS and GOTG.

 

For me it was Days of Future Past and GoTG at twice each. But I probably would've done the same with TWS if I had had the chance.

 

So rumour has it that Hawkeye might appear in Captain America 3.

 

The latest one millionth person up for Strange

I'd be okay with this one. Looks a bit young but he's a decent actor.

He's a relative unknown who happens to be Angelica Huston's nephew.

I don't care who plays who as long as they look the part and can act the part!

 

I just don't want to believe that, he would be so awful at the part.

 

I'm hoping he refuses. Not because I don't think he wouldn't do a good job, but because I'd rather not see him get chained to the franchise bemoth.

 

i don't think so. it's an odd choice maybe, but i honestly think he's one of the greatest actors of our time.

edit: but yeah, i pretty much agree with adam.

 

I need to see him rocking the Cloak of Levitation and hear him say "by the hoary hosts of Hoggoth!" before I can cast my vote to make or ruin a young man's career.

With great power comes great responsibility. Or whatever Martin Sheen said in the reboot which was almost kinda the same thing but didn't have the same iconic weight.

 

It's not his acting skill that bothers me, it's the way he looks. Strange is supposed to be a sexy charming older man type jive, and Phoenix might be only 40 but he looks like a fat old man. I guess they could do a makeover on him, but I don't see him being that type of actor.

Plus adding the Strange facial hair... essentially get there? I mean if Chris Pratt can get into ridiculously buff shape, are we worrying about Phoenix for nothing in that case?

 

yeah, he doesn't often play sexy and charming but i don't think it's out of his range.

 

I've always found Phoneix really creepy, I don't want to find Dr. strange creepy.
