Well, the CBR website has reported they have contacted Sony about the Spider-Man/Marvel/Infinity War rumor and denies it, stating:

I think Sony is still working out the future of the Spidey franchise at their Spidey summit. I'm not sure if anyone from Marvel was invited to the summit.

 

God damn it, Sony, sell the rights back to Marvel.

 

Owning Spider-Man is somewhat lucrative for Sony even if the most recent franchise installments have proven otherwise. Marvel will really have to make it worth their while in order to reach some sort of co-production/distribution agreement.

Edit: And perhaps an agreement has been reached. But as a responsible, publicly traded corporation, Sony has to deny any such rumors until time is right to confirm them.

 

I continue to be astounded by the fact anyone believes a single post that appear on Latino Review.

Yes, but a blind man throwing a thousand darts in the general direction of a dart board is also going to have at least some of them hit the target. Latino Review will post anything that sounds remotely plausible (and more than a few things that don't) just so that they can turn around and quote their post and time-stamp when we find out things later, or get quoted by other sites (seriously, posting an article reporting what another site has posted that is unconfirmed? When did journalism go out the window? (that's rhetorical, I don't need it answered)). They have a strike rate worse than the uncoordinated kid in the under 5's Little League competition.

Ejofor can play goddamned anything and will rock at it. Even if he's playing a rock. Hoping he's up for Wong because then we'd get a higher ratio of Ejofor in the MCU with him tagging along with Strange (and kicking ass when needed). If anyone could navigate the awkward "manservant" title for Wong (if they even use it) it would be Cumberbatch.

 

No way would Marvel use Ejofor to play Wong. They have a real life Chinese character in Wong and they want that Chinese movie market money. They're not gonna remake him into a black guy.

 

..... that's a good point. Damn. I'm just trying to think of the Maximum Ejofor Ratio to get outta this. Or just one awesome baddie from him.

The Purple Man arc in "Alias" is the high watermark of the series. Only seen "day of the doctor" but I dug Tennant in that and I actually know him more as Barty Crouch Jr. (for all of five minutes of screentime) in Goblet of Fire, but he did lip smacking crazy pretty well. If he can do crazy mind control purple dude I'm sold!
