i always thought of Doctor Doom as the preeminent Marvel villain.

unfortunately we've seen what Fox has done with that.....

I bet if MCU did Hyperion it'd be done better than Man Of Steel.

Alongside Galactus. And the Silver Surfer. The MCU feels woefully incomplete without those heavy hitters.

They can keep the X-Men, but one can only hope this new FF movie tanks hard enough for Fox to consider selling the rights to all those characters. The Infinity War thing just won't feel the same without them.

There's no need to bet, it's not fair if you're guaranteed to win. ;)

I cannot comment on that as I only read Hickman's recent Hyperion, but if MCU were at a loss as to what to do with Thor, a team up with Hyperion would make me very, very happy.

Kang could work. Red Skull should be a MUCH BIGGER BADDIE than just being disappeared in the 1940s, bring him back to lead everyone in the modern day and cause a ruckus and give him some crazy cosmic power upgrade from his sojourn into space or whatever (Which is a legit thing that happens with Red Skull from time to time).

Doctor Doom is such a big bad he can go beyond the FF. Mags & Doom would be great MCU baddies and they're huge Marvel villains but they're unfortunately assigned to Fox now.

On the flipside, now with Spidey back, Norman Osborn had a run there as basically the Marvel Universe "Lex Luthor" for awhile. That could be a thing.

I would think Maestro (Old, Evil Hulk from the Future) would be a great Big Bad but that may be a tad too esoteric for Marvel, also you'd probably need a whole Maestro / Future Imperfect movie (which I am TOTALLY OKAY WITH) to set that up and the Universal Hulk rights thing seems also complicated.

Post Infinity War, we'd have to take a look at the Marvel character studio rights web which may be either more or less tangled by then. But I think Thanos makes for a good uber-baddie even though all he's really done is sit in a space chair but he did finally grab a glove and he sounds like Josh Brolin so, yay, that's a thing.

Oh, and spoiler alert: Drax is gonna kill Thanos. As in the one who delivers the final killing blow in Infinity War Part 2. They set it up in Guardians of the Galaxy with him flat out saying "It's really Thanos I need to kill." that's pretty big to throw out there and not follow through.

My theory for the last cople of years have been that Red Skull will return, transformed by the cosmic cube into Dormammu

Though an outside shot for awhile, the real Mandarin could fit the bill too.

The Sentry's storyline could also work but he's more of a threat than a villain.

That isn't confirmation, just a (logical) rumor after a bunch of things we already knew.

I didn't read into it that way all. I've been under the impression that Spidey was confirmed appear in the Avengerverse at some point, but that the deal hadn't been done quickly enough for his inclusion in Cap 3 and the question was who would Marvel use in his place in Civil War. It really does sound to me like Peter Parker in Cap 3 is effectively a done deal. The only issue is casting.

It is not confirmation. That is not what confirmation is.
It's also not even new spider-man details, but I'll let that go.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if Spidey is in Civil War, but that video is just a fan saying "I think he probably will be."

The only confirmation Marvel gave about Spider Man is that he would appear in an MCU movie before his own reboot movie. People immediately assumed it would be Civil War because it was the next movie to come out that was not already in post-production at the date this announcement was made. It might be that he's in Civil War, but until you see an official announcement from Marvel, there is no confirmation.
