The fact that Yost is involved makes me anticipate the worst.

I actually love Kat Dennings and co, but at times in Thor 2 it felt that there were two incompatible movies happening at once.

Also, on the Dr Strange front, McAdams is now rumoured to be playing

It would make since with their fear of any powerful women as female leads. Got to always have the normal humans who are cold and tough, but will still need rescuing in the end.

 

McAdam's character needs to open up a competing nursing franchise with Rosario Dawson's character from Daredevil.

Peyton Reed in negotiations to direct Ant-Man and Hope

 

I know some of you don't like fanmade videos, but this one is worth watching. It doesn't recycle footage but uses original animation similar to the first part of the ending credits of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

 

Not too shabby! He misspelled Feige, but other than that I'm suitably impressed.

I really hope the Civil War trailer is attached to The Force Awakens. I would really like to see the trailer on the big screen and I thinking the timing would be right for the trailer to drop.

 

I think the only 100% lock will be Rogue One on The Force Awakens.

 

I don't think that will be a lock considering Rogue One release date is a year away. If anything, might get the teaser of Rogue One that was shown at Star Wars Celebration this year. However, I do hope I'm wrong and we some footage of Rogue One and it included Darth Vader leading Stormtroopers. We never got to see a liveaction Darth Vader in the helmet and cape in his prime.

 

I like Kat Dennings, but she's in 2 Broke Girls which makes According to Jim look like Cheers.

 

Right, it was definitely teaser I was implying, not full trailer. And while I'd love for them to use the Celebration footage, I think they'd make an original one...

 

So, new rumor is that Iron Fist may be swapped out for a series with The Punisher.

I'm an Iron Fist fan, so this saddens me.

 

Kind of makes the build up in Daredevil season 1 go nowhere as well.

That said I hope like the movies we get more series each year. Would like Elektra, Punisher, and Moonknight to get their own series eventually

 

How close are they to finishing filming for Luke Cage? I'd be ok if it ended with him meeting Danny and Season 2 of Luke Cage is essentially Heroes for Hire before they jump into Defenders.

 

It'd probably need to be season 2 for that.

Though I thought the Iron Fist issues were more the Movie side of marvel was going to say he was off limits as they were adapting something from his stuff.

Wilde is awesome so I'm okay with that but I do have my heart set on Emily Blunt as Captain Marvel but Wilde would also make me happy.

Now if we eventually get to Peter David's insane Genis-Vell Captain Marvel (or make him the baddie)



THEN we got ourselves a movie!

 

I don't know if this has been posted but has anyone else heard the rumors that a Captain America: Civil War trailer will be shown before The Force Awakens?

I've on the Wilde bandwagon when she appeared on the TV show House as "13." She very visually stunning and has the acting chops, but her as Captain Marvel really comes out of the left field for me as she hasn't been speculated or rumor to be in the hunt for the role. However, I could see Marvel casting her as she would be budget friendly. I mean, I've been hearing rumors that Infinity War Parts 1 and 2 budget is around $500 million with the actors taking like 20% - 25% of that budget.

I'm sure Marvel with make the right choice when they cast Captain Marvel as they haven't missed on anything so far. I just want them to make an announcement.

Yeah, there have been rumors, but I don't think a Civil War trailer with be attached with The Force Awakens as it might be too early to drop the trailer and it might not generate the desire buzz as I'm sure more the media and interwebs will be discussing Star Wars.

IIRC, Marvel has been dropping their trailers on the ABC network with one of their programs. I recall the last two trailers, Age of Ultron and Ant-Man scheduled to debut on Agents of SHIELD (leakage aside). I expect the same for Civil War. However, I wouldn't mind being wrong and getting the Civil War trailer with The Force Awakens.

I like the look and Dr. Strange is probably the origin story that I'm most looking forward to as I really don't know much of the character. However, I did watch the animated Dr. Strange film and enjoyed it. Strange's origin seems to follow Tony Stark's which was very good. I hope the same success is repeated here. I heard reports of the concept art displayed at D-23 for Dr. Strange and it was all positive and enthusiastic. Many believe the Soul Gem ERRRRRR Stone will be revealed in this film.
